Systems and techniques for evaluating performance of actuator systems of a patient support apparatus
A patient support apparatus comprises a support structure comprising a base and a patient support surface to support a patient. An actuator system facilitates movement of the patient support surface relative to a floor surface. One or more sensors are responsive to changes in position of the patient support surface caused by the actuator system. A controller is operably coupled to the one or more sensors and the actuator system. The controller is configured to operate the actuator system to move the patient support surface and to monitor the movement of the patient support surface by sensing positions of the patient support surface over time. The controller is further configured to identify a frictional load event on the actuator system during movement in a present cycle and associate the frictional load event with a sensed position of the patient support surface in the present cycle.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR HETEROGENEOUS EVENT DETECTION
A method and system for heterogeneous event detection. Sensor data is obtained and divided into discrete data windows. Each data window is defined by and corresponds to a time period of the sensor data. A time-frequency representation over the time period is calculated for each data window. A filter mask is calculated based on the data window corresponding to the time-frequency representation. The filter mask is applied for reverting the time-frequency representation to a time representation, resulting in filtered data. Features, such as extrema or other inflection points, are identified in the filtered data. The features define events, and transforming the time-frequency representation back into the time domain emphasizes differences between more and less prominent frequencies, facilitating identification of heterogeneous events. The method and system may be applied to body movements of people or animals, automaton movement, audio signals, light intensity, or any suitable time-dependent variable.
DETERMINATION DEVICE AND POSTURE CONTROL DEVICE
A determination device includes: a sway detector that detects sway of a person when the person moves; and a controller. The determination device performs spectrum analysis by resolving sway data outputted from the sway detector into frequency components. In a spectrum obtained from the spectrum analysis, a first peak, a second peak, and a third peak sequentially appear in order of increasing frequency. The controller determines a state of a body of the person based on the first peak, the second peak, and the third peak.
A LOAD SENSING DEVICE FOR ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR
A load sensing device for a shoe includes a base element having a first side and an opposite second side. The first side has a predefined area. A first load sensing element and a second load sensing element are positioned at the first side of the base element. The first load sensing element is positioned in a first area of the predefined area of the first side, and the second load sensing element is positioned in a second area of the predefined area of the first side. The first load sensing element has a fixed position relative to the second load sensing element during use. The first load sensing element and the second load sensing element are configured to measure a load applied to at least part of the predefined area of the first side.
POINT-OF-CARE ASSESSMENT SYSTEM
A system for assessment of neurocognitive and neuromotor control performance, the system comprising a portable force plate configured to collect force plate data indicative of movement and postural control of a subject as the subject performs a task, a depth sensing device configured to, simultaneously with the collection of the force plate data, collect depth data of the subject as the subject performs the task, an interface board configured to, simultaneously with the collection of the force plate data and the collection of the depth data, generate stimuli to instruct the subject to perform a particular task and to generate interface board data indication of input received from the subject in response to the stimuli, and a computer-based controller configured to execute one or more neurocognitive and neuromotor control performance assessment program to analyze the force plate data, the depth data, and the interface board data.
System and method for ankle rehabilitation
A system for ankle rehabilitation includes a motorized platform arranged to hold an ankle of a subject to be rehabilitated; a first sensor module arranged to detect signals representing movement intention of the ankle on the motorized platform; a second sensor module arranged to detect signals representing actual movement of the ankle on the motorized platform; and a processor arranged to process the signals detected by the first sensor module and the signals detected by the second sensor module, for control of movement of the motorized platform.
Article of Footwear Comprising a Sole Member with Geometric Patterns
An article of footwear includes an upper and a sole structure with a sole member. The sole member can include a set of apertures that is formed along various surfaces of the sole member. The sole member can be manufactured using a customized cushioning sole system, forming generally circular patterns throughout the sole member. A user's foot morphology and/or preferences may be used to design the sole member.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING A REGION OF INTEREST IN MEDICAL IMAGING
Systems and methods for generating a 3D model is provided. The methods may include receiving target information relating to the subject acquired by an information acquisition component and generate the 3D model of the subject based on the target information. The target information may include a plurality of images of the subject. The subject may be supported by a scanning table, and the information acquisition component may include a plurality of cameras mounted on a gantry of a medical imaging device. The plurality of cameras may be configured to acquire the plurality of images of the subject from multiple perspectives, and at least one of the plurality of cameras may be configured to acquire an image of a body side of the subject.
