Connected pill dispenser
11602488 · 2023-03-14 · ·

Apparatus and associated methods relate to a connected pill dispenser configured to treat a patient's illness with a robotic arm adapted to deliver a prescribed medication dose to a patient in their home, analyze the patient's response to the dose based on various sensor inputs, automatically determine whether the patient took the medicine and send the provider the result of providing the medication dose to the patient. In an illustrative example, the patient may be a chronic, acute, or terminal illness patient. The medication dose may be, for example, a medication prescribed by a doctor to be taken in a specific amount at specific times. In some embodiments, the connected pill dispenser may automatically notify the patient when a medication dose is due. Various embodiments may determine if the patient consumed a medication dose based on machine vision, audio, or other sensor data, permitting caregiver notification of patient medication adherence, medication compliance, or non-adherence and sensor inputs as data on potential effectiveness and/or side effects.

The present invention discloses a home infotainment system having function of non-contact imaging-based physiological signal measurement. In the present invention, an image-based physiological signal (IBPS) measuring device is integrated with a television, and is configured for capture at least one image frame of a user who is watching the television. As such, after detecting detects a face portion from the image frame, the IBPS measuring device is able to subsequently extract at least one physiological signal from the face portion. Consequently, after the physiological signal is applied with at least one signal process by a display processor of the television or the IBPS measuring device, physiological indices of the user are hence calculated, and are subsequently applied with data processes of data storing, data transmitting, and/or displaying the physiological indices by a form of graphs, or diagrams, and/or numeric values.

Smart toilet for human health monitoring

Devices, systems, and methods are provided for monitoring or analyzing excreta of a subject using a toilet. In one embodiment, the device includes a housing mounted adjacent a toilet bowl, a urinalysis module for deploying urinalysis strips into the toilet bowl to collect a urine sample from a subject's urine stream delivered into the toilet bowl and a urinalysis sensor to acquire data from the urinalysis strip related to the urine sample, and a stool analysis module including a camera oriented into the toilet bowl to provide images of contents of the toilet bowl. In addition, the device may include a uroflowmetry module and/or a biometric identification module. One or more sensors are provided for identifying when a subject uses the toilet, and a processor activates one or more of the modules when the sensors indicate a subject is using the toilet.

A determination device includes an acquisition unit that acquires image data captured by using a flash in a state of being controlled such that a shape of the flash becomes a predetermined flash pattern, and a determination unit that determines whether or not an imaging object is a living body on the basis of the acquired image data.

Vehicle and method for controlling the same

A vehicle may include: a feedback device; a bio-signal sensor configured to measure a bio-signal of a user; and a controller operatively coupled to the feedback device and the bio-signal sensor, the controller including a memory configured to store at least one program instruction and processor configured to execute the at least one program instruction. The controller may be configured to: determine information characterizing a current emotional state of the user based on the bio-signal; calculate, based on a difference value between the current emotional state and a target emotional state, an operation ratio between a first mode for controlling operation of the feedback device to decrease a degree of excitability of the user and a second mode for controlling the operation of the feedback device to increase a degree of positivity of the user; and control the operation of the feedback device for a predetermined time based on the operation ratio.
