HEALTH MONITORING CAT LITTER
Technology is disclosed for a cat litter that can be used to diagnose feline medical conditions. A cat litter contains an additive, e.g., a chemical agent, such as a natural and/or synthetic agent, that changes in color when it comes in contact with cat urine or feces. Based on the color it can be determined whether the cat has a medical condition, such as particular illness. For example, if the litter turns yellow when it comes in contact with the urine, it can indicate that the cat is healthy. If the litter turns to a color other than yellow, e.g., green, it can indicate that the cat has some illness. The cat then be taken to a veterinary doctor for further diagnosis. The chemical agent aids in detection and diagnosis through interaction of materials that change colors to indicate reactions with specific chemicals, cells, molecules, DNA and/or materials. The technology can be implemented for medical diagnosis and detection—for humans and/or animals.
PREDICTING CHANGES IN MEDICAL CONDITIONS USING MACHINE LEARNING MODELS
Techniques are described herein for using time series data such as vital signs data and laboratory data or other time series data as input across machine learning models to predict a change in stage of a medical condition of a patient. In various embodiments, patient data comprising vital signs data of a patient and laboratory data or other time series data of the patient corresponding to an observation window may be received. A time series model may be used to predict a change in stage of a medical condition in the patient in a prediction window based on the patient data. The predicted change in stage of the medical condition may be output.
PLUSE WAVE VELOCITY MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
A system and method is disclosed for measurement of pulse wave velocity of a vessel. An intravascular device comprises a first and a second marker provided at different locations along the length of the intravascular device of which positions are localizable by a tracking apparatus. The intravascular device provides plurality of measurements along the length of the vessel, while the intravascular device is moved from a first position to a second position, corresponding to a first and a second time. At the second time the position of the first marker in the vessel corresponds to the position of the second marker at the first time. The pulse wave velocity value of the vessel is ascertained based on measurements associated for the first time and the second time from the plurality of measurements and based on the distance between the locations of the two markers along the length of the intravascular device.
Oxygen measuring device
An oxygen measurement device includes a catheter including a flexible hollow shaft, the flexible shaft having an open port configured to allow urine from a bladder to flow into the open port, and a urinary passage in communication with the open port configured to discharge the urine; and an oxygen sensor including an oxygen sensor main body capable of detecting oxygen in the urine, the oxygen sensor being disposed in the catheter and configured such that the oxygen sensor main body is in contact with the urine flowing in the urinary passage.
SENSOR ASSEMBLY WITH MOVABLE SKIN SENSOR
Disclosed herein is a housing assembly configured to attach to a body surface of a patient and comprising at least one opening; a skin sensor movably disposed in the at least one opening of the housing assembly; and wherein the housing assembly is configured to move independently relative to the skin sensor when an external force is applied to the housing assembly.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ACUTE TREATMENT OF FLUID OVERLOAD IN PATIENTS WITH HEART FAILURE
Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward apparatuses, systems and methods that include arranging an acute alteration of blood flow in, for example, heart failure patients.
Surgical positioning circuit
A surgical locator circuit identifies a surgical target such as a kidney stone by disposing an emitter such as a magnetic source behind or adjacent the surgical target, and employing the circuit to identify an axis to the emitter, thus defining an axis or path to the surgical target. An array of sensors arranged in an equidistant, coplanar arrangement each senses a signal indicative of a distance to the emitter. A magneto resistor sensor generates a variable resistance is responsive to the distance to a magnetic coil emitting a magnetic field. An equal signal from each of the coplanar sensors indicates positioning on an axis passing through a point central to the sensors and orthogonal to the plane. A fixed element and signal conditioner augments and normalizes the signal received from each of the sensors to accommodate subtle differences in magneto resistive response among the plurality of sensors.
REVERSIBLY SWITCHABLE PHOTOACOUSTIC IMAGING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Reversibly switchable photoacoustic tomography (RS-PAT), a photoacoustic technique with enhanced sensitivity and resolution, is disclosed. RS-PAT utilizes a subtractive process for the formation of a photoacoustic image of a region containing a plurality of switchable photoacoustic probes. In various aspects, the photoacoustic detection in RS-PAT imaging occurs minimally twice: a first image obtained when the photoacoustic probe is in active (absorbing or ON) state and a second image obtained when the photoacoustic probe is in an inactive (less-absorbing or OFF) state. Subtraction of the second image from the first image is used to obtain the RS-PAT image.
Systems and methods for detection of potential health issues
A device for detecting potential health issues includes a retinal scanner configured to capture retinal data of the user, a blood pressure sensor configured to capture blood pressure data of the user, an alert module configured to alert the user of a potential health risk, and at least one processor communicatively coupled to the retinal scanner, the blood pressure sensor, and the alert module.
