Emulsifier particles and methods for making and using same
Emulsifier particles and methods for making and using same. The emulsifier particles can include an alkali metal salt or an alkaline earth metal salt of a carboxylic acid terminated fatty amine condensate, an alkali metal salt or an alkaline earth metal salt of a modified tall oil, or a blend of an alkali metal salt or an alkaline earth metal salt of a carboxylic acid terminated fatty amine condensate and an alkali metal salt or an alkaline earth metal salt of a modified tall oil. The emulsifier particles can have a BET specific surface area of about 0.3 m.sup.2/g to about 1 m.sup.2/g. The method for making the emulsifier particles can include reducing a size of an emulsifier solid via a mechanical attrition process to produce the emulsifier particles.
Process and catalyst for hydrogen mediated saline hydride initiated anionic chain transfer polymerization
This invention relates to processes for forming hydrogen mediated saline hydride initiated anionic polystyrene distributions via novel polymerization conditions. This invention also relates to novel hydrocarbon soluble super active saline hydride catalyst and reagent compositions useful in conducting the hydrogen mediated saline hydride initiated polymerizations of this invention. This invention also relates to novel low molecular weight polystyrene polymer composition formed exclusively from styrene and molecular hydrogen as the monomers.

POLY (METH) ACRYLIC ACID (SALT)-BASED PARTICULATE WATER-ABSORBING AGENT AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
To provide a disposable diaper enabling reduction in re-wet amount and having an excellent speed of incorporating liquid regardless of concentration and configuration of a water-absorbing agent in an absorbent material.
A water-absorbing agent having excellent Gel Capillary Absorption (GCA) and Free Gel Bed Permeability (FGBP) is obtained by crushing a crosslinked hydrogel polymer obtained in a polymerization step to have a specific weight average particle diameter while fluid retention capacity and a surface tension of a water-absorbing agent are adjusted in a specific range, drying the crushed crosslinked hydrogel polymer, and then adding a liquid permeability enhancer thereto during surface crosslinking or after surface crosslinking.
