Heat expandable foam for low temperature cure
A thermally expandable composition, including at least one polymer, cross-linkable by peroxide, at least one peroxide, preferably at least one antioxidant, at least one chemical blowing agent, and at least one activator, wherein the activator includes at least one compound selected from formula (I), ##STR00001##
wherein radicals R.sup.1 and R.sup.4 represent hydrogen atoms or monovalent alkyl radicals with 1 to 10 carbon atoms which optionally include oxygen atoms; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 represent hydrogen atoms or monovalent alkyl radicals with 1 to 10 carbon atoms which optionally include oxygen atoms, nitrogen atoms, and/or aromatic moieties or R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 together form a divalent alkyl radical with 1 to 10 carbon atoms which optionally includes oxygen atoms, nitrogen atoms or aromatic moieties. The composition shows excellent properties in terms of expansion stability over a wide temperature range, can be expanded at temperatures below 150° C. and is suitable for baffle and/or reinforcement elements.

Stabilized Polyolefin Compositions Comprising Benzofuranones and Hindered Phenolic Antioxidants
Polyolefin compositions comprising i) a polyolefin, ii) one or more phosphorus-containing benzofuranone compounds and iii) one or more hindered phenolic antioxidants are provided excellent protection against discoloration and enhanced thermal stability during melt processing as exhibited by improved retention of molecular weight and maintenance of polymer molecular architecture.

Provided herein is an aqueous polymer dispersion including A) a polymer synthesized from monomers including a) 1.0 to 90% by weight of at least one alkyl (meth)acrylate; b) 0.1 to 10% by weight of at least one ethylenically unsaturated acid or vinyl monomer with latent ionic groups; c) 0 to 5.0% by weight of at least one monoethylenically unsaturated monomer having at least one keto or aldehyde group; d) 1.0 to 90% by weight of at least one vinyl ester of saturated aliphatic monocarboxylic acid in which the carboxyl groups are attached to tertiary and/or quaternary carbon atoms; e) 0 to 20% by weight of at least one vinyl aromatics; and f) 0 to 20% by weight, based on the total amount of monomers for the synthesis of polymer A), of at least one hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate. Also included herein is an ink anchorage primer that enhances ink bonding.

The present invention provides a composition of a polyethylene glycol maleimide derivative and a polymerization inhibitor. In particular, the present invention provides a composition of an 8-arm polyethylene glycol maleimide derivative and a phenolic polymerization inhibitor. The ingredient and content of the polymerization inhibitor in the composition are reasonably chosen, thereby significantly increasing stability of the polyethylene glycol maleimide derivative, effectively avoiding the undesirable effect of gel solidifying due to polymerization during storage and transportation, and extending a pot life and shelf life of a product thereof.
