INFORMATION PROVISION METHOD, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION TERMINAL, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
To objectively grasp a stress state of a user and to prevent a mental disorder of the user, the following steps are performed: acquiring, via a network, biogas information at multiple timings and time information corresponding to each of the multiple timings, wherein the biogas information represents a concentration of dimethyl adipate of a user acquired by a sensor that detects dimethyl adipate discharged from a skin surface of the user; obtaining reference information representing an upper limit of a normal range of the concentration of dimethyl adipate per unit period of time, using a memory storing the reference information representing the upper limit of the normal range; determining a stress time period during which a concentration of the dimethyl adipate of the user is more than the upper limit of the normal range, based on the acquired biological gas information; and outputting time period information indicating the determined stress time period to an information terminal of the user, to display the stress time period indicated by the time period information on a display of the information terminal.
PATIENT MONITORING SYSTEM
A patient monitoring system may include a first-fluid-housing, and a drain in communication with the first-fluid-housing that pulls a first non-serosanguinous fluid from a patient into the first-fluid-housing. The system may also include a sensor that measures the first non-serosanguinous fluid entering the first-fluid-housing. The system may further include a computer-controller in communication with the sensor and drain, the computer-controller includes a profile that identifies the patient, the first-fluid-housing, and records the sensor's first non-serosanguinous fluid measurements that any user can retrieve based upon permissions granted to each user.
Display device and display method that determines intention or status of a user
The present invention provides a display apparatus and a display method for realizing control for display operations by a user precisely reflecting the user's status, i.e., the user's intentions, visual state and physical conditions. Worn as an eyeglass-like or head-mount wearable unit for example, the display apparatus of the present invention enables the user to recognize visibly various images on the display unit positioned in front of the user's eyes thereby providing the picked up images, reproduced images, and received images. As control for various display operations such as switching between the display state and the see-through state, display operation mode and selecting sources, the display apparatus of the present invention acquires information about either behavior or physical status of the user, and determines either intention or status of the user in accordance with the acquired information, thereby controlling the display operation appropriately on the basis of the determination result.
TISSUE HYDRATION MONITOR
A tissue hydration monitor and method includes a sensor module having a plurality of LEDs positioned to emit a plurality of different wavelengths of light toward the user's skin and a detector that detects light transmitted and reflected through the user's skin to generate signals corresponding to an intensity of detected light at each of the different wavelengths. A processor/controller module generates a baseline hydration level based on the received signals, calculates a relative hydration level, and generates an output indicative of relative hydration personalized to the user. The housing is secured against the user's skin by an adhesive patch or a strap.
Ultra-low power one-shot hydration sensing system
A moisture-sensitive device is provided that includes a dissolvable conductive material. Exposure of the dissolvable conductive material to urine or some other fluid causes the dissolvable conductive material to dissolve, increasing an effective resistance of the dissolvable conductive material. This change in resistance can be detected to determine the presence of an aqueous fluid. In response to such detection, a transmitter can then provide a wireless transmission indicative of the presence of the fluid. This moisture-sensitive device can be provided in a diaper and transmissions produced by the device can be detected using a smart phone or other device and used to indicate to a user that the diaper has been soiled.
Statistical, noninvasive measurement of a patient's physiological state
Tools and techniques for the rapid, continuous, invasive and/or noninvasive measurement, estimation, and/or prediction of a patient's physiological state. In an aspect, some tools and techniques can estimate predict the onset of conditions intracranial pressure, an amount of blood volume loss, cardiovascular collapse, and/or dehydration. Some tools can recommend (and, in some cases, administer) a therapeutic treatment for the patient's condition. In another aspect, some techniques employ high speed software technology that enables active, long term learning from extremely large, continually changing datasets. In some cases, this technology utilizes feature extraction, state-of-the-art machine learning and/or statistical methods to autonomously build and apply relevant models in real-time.
Bodily Fluid Indicator Devices and Methods
Bodily fluid indicator devices and methods are provided. Such devices and methods can effectively indicate whether the amount of bodily fluid being produced is within a measurable range. In an exemplary embodiment, a bodily fluid indicator device includes a substrate having a surface. Some portions of the surface are covered with a region of absorbent material and other portions of the surface are devoid of the absorbent material. A graduated scale or a reactive feature is printed on the absorbent material. The device is configured to indicate an amount and/or a composition a bodily fluid present on an area of a patient or subject.

DECONGESTIVE THERAPY TITRATION FOR HEART FAILURE PATIENTS USING IMPLANTABLE SENSOR
Assessing decongestive therapy delivered to a heart failure patient involves use of an implantable sensor configured to sense a physiologic parameter indicative of the patient's diuresis status and a processor coupled to the implantable sensor. The sensor may comprise a thoracic fluid sensor, a heart sounds sensor, a cardiac chamber or arterial pressure sensor, a respiration sensor, or a blood chemistry sensor, for example. The processor is configured to determine if a target level of patient diuresis has been achieved based on a relationship between the sensed physiologic parameter and a threshold developed for the patient, and to produce an output in response to determining that the target level of patient diuresis has been achieved. The processor may be disposed in an implantable housing, in a patient-external housing, or in a network server system.
