DECISION SUPPORT AND TREATMENT ADMINISTRATION SYSTEMS

Techniques for data analysis and user guidance are provided for determining and providing one or more treatments to a user based on where the user is or will be in their menstrual cycle. In certain embodiments, a method of personalizing diabetes treatment based on information relating to a menstrual cycle of a user is provided. The method includes measuring, using a glucose monitoring system, blood glucose measurements of the user. The method further includes receiving information relating to the menstrual cycle of the user. The method further includes determining a treatment for the user to achieve a target blood glucose during a sub-phase or phase of the menstrual cycle of the user based on at least one of historical data associated with the user and historical data associated with a stratified group of users.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING HOT FLASHES BASED ON HEART RATE PATTERNS
20210169343 · 2021-06-10 ·

A method of detecting the occurrence of a hot flash in an individual including obtaining heart rate sequence data for the individual for a predetermined period of time, wherein the heart rate sequence data is based on heartbeat data of the individual that is detected by a sensor unit worn by the individual, providing the heart rate sequence data to a computational model component, wherein the computational model component is structured and configured to examine the heart rate sequence data over time to determine a probability that the individual is experiencing a hot flash based on monitoring the heart rate sequence data for a pattern wherein heart rate decreases below a baseline range and then increases above the baseline range, and analyzing the heart rate sequence data in the computational model component to determine the probability.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATING CANCER USING BRACHYTHERAPY
20210093179 · 2021-04-01 ·

Systems and methods are provided for treating cervical and/or uterine cancers in brachytherapy with an intracavitary brachytherapy applicator. The system comprises a tandem adapted for insertion into a cervix of a patient. An ovoid assembly comprises first and second inflatable ovoids and an ovoid support mechanism. The first and second inflatable ovoids are adapted for insertion within fornices of a patient. First and second retractors are adapted to be coupled to the ovoid assembly. The first retractor is adapted to be positioned to retract the bladder of a patient during treatment. The second retractor is adapted to be positioned to retract the rectum of a patient during treatment. The tandem and the first and second inflatable ovoids are adapted to be coupled to a radioactive source to deliver an implant radiation dose suitable for cancer treatment at a cancerous cervical treatment site in a patient.

INTRAVAGINAL DEVICE

An intravaginal device (1600) includes arms (1602) and struts (1604). Each strut has a first end (1610) coupled to a shaft (1606) arranged to slide in a tube (1608) and a second end (1612) coupled to one of the arms (1602). A string (1616) is coupled to the shaft (1606). The arms (1602) have a stowed orientation in which the struts (1604) are folded inwards and a deployed orientation in which the struts (1604) point radially outwards and tautly hold the arms (1602) in an expanded position.

A user-defined range of dates is displayed within a first region, and an interactive cursor is displayed at a first location within the first region, the first location corresponding to a first date within the range of dates. Based at least in part on the first date, a first estimated fertility is determined and displayed in a second region of the display area. A user input is detected at a second location distinct from the first location, the user input corresponding to a user selection of a second date in the range of dates distinct from the first date. In response, the interactive cursor is dynamically moved from the first location to the second location. Based at least in part on the second date, a second estimated fertility is determined, and the first estimated fertility in the second region is replaced with the second estimated fertility.
