SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING, PREDICTING AND ENHANCING BRAIN AGE AND OTHER ELECTROPHYSIOLOGICAL METRICS OF A SUBJECT
Some systems, devices and methods detailed herein provide a system for use in determining metrics of a subject. The system can provide, as an output, a function-metric value determined based on a defined relationship between physiological measures and a chronological age.
Determining a state of a solid tumor based on neural activity within the solid tumor
One aspect of the present disclosure relates a method of diagnosis and/or treatment of a solid tumor. The method includes directly measuring neural activity within a solid tumor for a time and determining a state of the solid tumor based on the neural activity. The diagnosis and/or treatment can be determined based on the state of the solid tumor. In some instances, the neural activity can be used in a closed loop to detect the neural activity, determine the state, determine the risk, apply treatment, check again for neural activity, and cease treatment when the neural activity is gone.
Prediction of risk of post-ablation atrial fibrillation based on radiographic features of pulmonary vein morphology from chest imaging
Embodiments discussed herein facilitate generation of a prognosis for recurrence or non-recurrence of atrial fibrillation (AF) after pulmonary vein isolation (PVI). A first set of embodiments discussed herein relates to training of a machine learning classifier to determine a prognosis for AF after PVI based on radiographic images, alone or in combination with clinical features. A second set of embodiments discussed herein relates to determination of a prognosis for a patient for AF after PVI based on radiographic images, alone or in combination with clinical features.
GROUND REACTION FORCE PLATE APPARATUS AND MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
A ground reaction force plate apparatus and measuring system are provided. The apparatus includes a plate for receiving a force to be measured as applied by a subject to the plate and a plurality of load cells in an arrangement supporting the plate, each load cell being a single-axis sensor with the axis provided at an angle to a plane of the plate and oriented towards a centre of the plate. The load cells are configured to measure data relating to a force vector at the angled single-axis sensor when the subject applies a force to the plate. A data collection controller is provided for logging time series measurements of the load cells over a time in which the subject applies a force to the plate. The system applies machine learning processing to output the load cell measurements as a three-dimensional ground reaction force on the plate by a subject.
Device, system and method for detecting a cardiac and/or respiratory disease of a subject
The present invention relates to device, system and method for detecting a cardiac and/or respiratory disease of a subject. The proposed device comprises a sound input (20) for obtaining a sound signal representing sounds generated by the subject's body; a motion input (21) for obtaining a motion signal representing motions generated by the subject's body; and a processor (22) for processing the obtained sound signal and motion signal. This processing includes identifying inhalation and/or exhalation periods of the subject based on the motion signal, detecting abnormal lung sounds during inhalation and/or exhalation periods based on the sound signal, determining abnormal lung sound characteristics of the detected abnormal lung sounds, determining breathing characteristics of the subject's breathing based on the sound signal, determining the phase of the abnormal lung sounds in the inhalation-exhalation cycle, and detecting a cardiac and/or respiratory disease of the subject based on the determined abnormal lung sound characteristics, the determined breathing characteristics and the determined phase of the abnormal lung sounds in the inhalation-exhalation cycle.
Imaging system and method for assessing wounds
A method for determining healing progress of a tissue disease state includes receiving a thermal image of a target wound area from a thermal imaging system, processing the thermal image to construct an isotherm map of at least one selected area, determining a thermal index value from the isotherm map, correlating the wound thermal index value with a reference thermal index value representative of an injury-free state.
ORAL DEVICE FOR MEASURING RESPIRATORY SOUNDS
The invention relates to a thermometer-shaped oral device for measuring respiratory sounds. The oral device comprises a mouthpiece with a metallic tip for placement under the tongue and a neck around which the lips seal the mouth closed, preventing outside noises from interfering with the measurement of the respiratory sounds. The oral device performs the auscultatory function traditionally performed by a stethoscope. The metallic tip may contain a thermistor for oral temperature measurement, and in various embodiments the oral device may further comprise other vital signs sensors. The oral device may be in communication with a cloud server, as part of a system for remote auscultation by a physician and/or analysis of auscultation and/or other vital signs by a healthcare bot for detecting progression of respiratory or other diseases.
Spectral Imaging
The present disclosure provides methods and apparatus for evaluating tissue structure in damaged or healing tissue. The present disclosure also provides methods of identifying a patient at the onset of risk of pressure ulcer or at risk of the onset of pressure ulcer, and treating the patient with anatomy-specific clinical interventions selected, based on spectral imaging (SI). The present disclosure also provides methods of stratifying groups of patients based on risk of wound development and methods of reducing incidence of tissue damage in a care facility. The present disclosure also provides methods to analyze trends of SI intensities to detect tissue damage before it is visible, and methods to compare bisymmetric SI intensities to identify damaged tissue.
METHOD FOR PREDICTING DECOMPENSATION EVENTS IN NASH PATIENTS
Disclosed is a method for predicting a decompensation event in a patient suffering from NASH, including performing a .sup.13C methacetin breath test on a patient; calculating a PDR-peak value of the patient, based on the .sup.13C methacetin breath test; and identifying the patient as having high-risk of developing a decompensation event within 1 year from the performing of the breath test, if the PDR-peak value is at or below a predetermined threshold value; wherein the predetermined threshold value is 15%/h.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETER ANALYSIS AND RELATED GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACES
A method can include receiving, using one or more processors, a first record including a first data associated with a personal identification from a first database, receiving, using the one or more processors, a second record including a second data associated with a user identification from a second database, pairing, using the one or more processors, the first data and the second data based upon a shared data item contained in the first record and the second record, and displaying, using one or more processors, a report based upon the first data and the second data.
