IMPAIREMENT SCREENING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system for screening impairment of a subject includes an imaging device and a display connected to a controller, the controller configured to send a first eye test signal to the imaging device and a second eye test signal to the display to initiate an eye test, and further configured to receive an eye test feedback signal based on captured images of subject eye movement during the eye test. The controller is configured to send a first cognitive test signal to the imaging device and a second cognitive test signal to the display to initiate a cognitive test, and is further configured to receive a cognitive test feedback signal based on captured images of subject eye movement during the cognitive test. A balance sensor is connected to the controller, the controller configured to receive a balance test feedback signal from the balance sensor indicative of subject movement during a balance test. A physiological sensor is connected to the controller, the controller configured to receive a physiological activity feedback signal from the physiological sensor indicative of subject physiological activity. The controller is configured to generate an impairment indication based on the eye test feedback signal, the cognitive test feedback signal, the balance test feedback signal, and the physiological activity feedback signal. A method for screening impairment of a subject is also disclosed.
ELECTRONIC INK DISPLAY FOR SMART RING
A system for displaying information indicative of driving conditions, to a driver, using a smart ring are disclosed. An exemplary system includes a smart ring with a ring band having a plurality of surfaces including an inner surface, an outer surface, a first side surface, and a second side surface. The system further includes a processor, configured to obtain data from a communication module within the ring band, or from one or more sensors disposed within the ring band. The obtained data are representative of information indicative of one or more driving conditions to be displayed to the driver. The smart ring also includes an electronic ink (e-ink) display disposed on at least one of the plurality of surfaces, and configured to present information indicative of the one or more driving conditions.
Adhesive device
An adhesive device may include a first adhesive surface configured to be adhered to skin of a user, and a second adhesive surface opposite the first adhesive surface and configured to be adhered to a medical device. The adhesive device may also include an intermediate region between the first adhesive surface and the second adhesive surface, where the intermediate region includes a detector compound embedded in the intermediate region configured to change based on interaction of the detector compound with a target molecule.
Opioid overdose treatment assembly
A opioid overdose treatment assembly for treating an opioid overdose includes a housing that can be worn on a user. An inhaler is coupled to the housing and the inhaler contains an aerosolized medication for treating an opioid overdose. The inhaler is actuatable to release a pre-determined amount of the aerosolized medication for inhalation by the user when the user is suffering from an opioid overdose. A communicator is coupled to the housing and the communicator is in wireless communication with a communication network. In this way the communicator can be placed in communication with emergency responders.
ANALYTE MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
Disclosed is a system and method for performing measurements on a biological subject, and in one particular example, to performing measurements of analytes in a biological subject by breaching a functional barrier of the subject using microstructures, wherein the one or more microstructures include molecularly imprinted polymer for binding one or more analytes.
Chemiresistor with ionic liquid carbon nanotube composite for wireless chemical sensing
A wireless sensor platform design and a single walled carbon nanotube/ionic liquid-based chemidosimeter system can incorporated into a highly sensitive and selective chemical hazard badge that can dosimetrically detect an analyte down to a sub parts-per-million concentration.
HYDRATION MONITOR AND METHODS OF USE
The present disclosure relates to optical methods and devices based on pulsate behavior of blood and optical absorption spectroscopy to measure the level of water and/or other substances or compounds, such as an alcohol or lipid, in the blood and the tissues surrounding blood vessels and arteries.
System for Capturing Movement Patterns and/or Vital Signs of a Person
System and method for capturing a movement sequence of a person. The method comprises capturing a plurality of images of the person executing a movement sequence by means of a contactless sensor, the plurality of images representing the movements of the body elements of the person, generating at least one skeleton model having limb positions for at least some of the plurality of images, and calculating the movement pattern from the movements of the body elements of the person by comparing changes in the limb positions in the at least one skeleton model generated. In addition, vital signs and/or signal processing parameters of the person can be acquired and evaluated.
INTRAOSSEOUS IMPLANTED BIOLOGICAL SENSOR
A method and system for monitoring analytes in the circulatory system of an individual is provided. A biological sensor is implanted in the bone marrow of a patient and may be self contained within a housing. The biological sensor measures physiological parameters of a patient, including analytes, on a fixed or adjustable schedule. The biological sensor includes a control unit having a transmitter and an energy source for providing energy to the control unit. The biological sensor may be used to adjust other medical treatments and devices in a closed or semi closed loop mechanism and/or predict patient treatment.
WEARABLE NARCOSIS ALERT
Apparatus worn by a person, methods, and support system for monitoring physiological parameters of the person, providing timely, actionable information to prevent death due to overdose, and, through social or professional influences, may cause life-saving changes in behavior. The apparatus sends alerts to the person via audible or tactile means, and to concerned others, that drug usage, drug overdose, or other critical medical condition has likely occurred. Alerts to concerned others include geographical information indicating where the person is, so that medical assistance personnel may find the person. Geographical information includes latitude, longitude, the translation of latitude and longitude into a street address, and elevation information indicating on which floor in a building the person is.
