Training plans and workout coaching for activity tracking system
A method of providing workout training for a user of an activity tracking system includes displaying a plurality of training plan options to the user on a screen of a personal electronic device, and then receiving a selected training plan option from the user. Selected workout day options are received from the user and the system generates a training schedule for the user based on the selected training plan and the selected workout day options. One or more reminders identify the type of workout for the scheduled day and an option to accept or reject the workout. When the user selects the option to accept the workout, the workout goal associated with the scheduled workout is displayed. The method further includes determining progress toward the workout goal based on the received workout data, and displaying an indicator of progress toward the workout goal on the screen during the workout.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ESTIMATING BIO-INFORMATION BASED ON BIO-IMPEDANCE
An apparatus for estimating bio-information includes: an impedance sensor including a pair of input electrodes and a pair of receiving electrodes, and configured to measure bio-impedance of a user by applying a current to the pair of input electrodes and by measuring a voltage between the pair of receiving electrodes; and a processor configured to estimate bio-information by applying, to the measured bio-impedance, an estimation model that uses a correlation between the measured bio-impedance and the bio-information to be estimated.
NEURAL STIMULATION THROUGH AUDIO WITH DYNAMIC MODULATION CHARACTERISTICS
Techniques (methods and devices) for neural stimulation through audio with dynamic modulation characteristics are disclosed. The techniques include receiving a mapping of sensor-input values and modulation-characteristic values, wherein each sensor-input value corresponds to a respective modulation-characteristic value; receiving an audio element from an audio source, wherein the audio element comprises at least one audio parameter; identifying an audio-parameter value of the audio parameter; receiving a sensor-input value from a sensor; determining a sensor-input value based on the sensor-input value; selecting from the mapping of sensor-input values and modulation-characteristic values, a modulation-characteristic value that corresponds to the sensor-input value; generating an audio output based on the audio-parameter value and the modulation-characteristic value; and playing the audio output.
Device, system and method for determining a vital sign of a person
The present invention relates to a device, system and method for determining a vital sign of a person. To improve accuracy and reliability of vital sign determination, the device comprises an input unit (20) for obtaining a vital sign related signal of at least a body part of the person, from which a vital sign can be derived, a body part position determining unit (21) for determining if said body part of the person is in contact with a support or not and generating a contact signal indicating if said body part is in contact with the support or not, a quality metric setting unit (22) for setting, based on said contact signal, a quality metric for use in the determination of a vital sign of the person, and a vital sign deriving unit (23) for deriving a vital sign from the obtained vital sign related signal, wherein the set quality metric is used in the derivation of the vital sign and/or in a judgment of the reliability of a derived vital.
Medical treatment system using measurement data from multiple sensors
A medical treatment system for determining administration of medications to a patient is disclosed. The system uses a plurality of sensors to perform a first set of physiologic measurements in a right side of the heart and a second set of physiologic measurements in a left side of the heart. The system also includes a receiver configured to receive measurement data regarding the first and second sets of physiologic measurements and output to a display device the received measurement data.
Antioxidant sensor and method of measuring antioxidant value
An antioxidant sensor includes a pressure sensor configured to obtain a contact pressure between an object and an optical sensor; the optical sensor configured to, based on the obtained contact pressure exceeding a set threshold pressure, emit a first light of a first wavelength to the object, and receive the first light reflected or scattered from the object; and a processor configured to determine a contact portion of the object in contact with the optical sensor, set a threshold pressure, among different threshold pressures, according to the determined contact portion, and determine an antioxidant value based on the received first light.
STIMULATOR SUBSTRATE DEVICE AND DEVICE FOR STIMULATING NERVE CELLS
A stimulator substrate device for stimulating nerve cells, and apparatus including same, in particular nerve cells in an extremity, includes a substrate support, in which a plurality of stimulators for emitting stimulation signals to the nerve cells are provided. The plurality of stimulators is provided in a line on the substrate support and the substrate support is tubular.
MOUTH GUARD
The present invention relates to a mouth guard having a new structure that protects a user's teeth more effectively, enables a user to feel food texture more effectively when masticating food, and is more firmly fixed to the teeth. The mouth guard according to the present invention comprises a plurality of fixing members 10 made of a hard material and coupled to the teeth 1 to support the teeth 1 and a connecting member 20 made of a synthetic resin material that is softer than the hard material of the fixing member 10 and provided between the fixing members 10 to interconnect the fixing members 10. Since the fixing member 10 is connected to the connection member 20 to be mutually movable by the connection member 20 in a state of being coupled to the user's teeth 1, the mouth guard can effectively protect the user's teeth 1 and can effectively deliver food texture to the teeth 1 when the user chews food. In particular, the mouth guard according to the present invention can prevent sugar and acid generated by a combination of food and saliva from contacting the teeth when eating food, and effectively prevent food debris from being caught between the teeth or between the teeth and gums, thereby preventing various dental diseases such as tooth decay.
Method for determining a user-specific hair treatment
The present disclosure relates to a method for determining a user-specific hair treatment with determination and inclusion of the degree of damage of the hair. To this end, the content of cysteic acid is firstly determined with the aid of near-infrared and/or infrared spectra of the keratin fibres of an individual and a degree of damage is derived via a calibration model. Individual treatment advice is output on the basis of the determined degree of damage.
