METHOD OF FABRICATING AN ELECTRODE STRUCTURE
20210101001 · 2021-04-08 ·

The present disclosure provides a method of fabricating an electrode structure. The method provides an electrically insulating substrate having a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, and a plurality of through-holes, each through-hole extending across a thickness of the insulating substrate. The method further comprises extruding a material sequentially or simultaneously through at least some of the through-holes resulting in a plurality of elongate electrically conductive elements extending through and protruding from the through-holes at the first surface of the electrically insulating substrate. In addition, the method comprises forming a plurality of electrically conductive regions at the second surface of the electrically insulating substrate. Each electrically conductive region is located at a respective through-hole, whereby the electrically conductive regions are electrically coupled to the elongate electrically conductive elements.

INTRAVAGINAL DEVICE

An intravaginal device (1600) includes arms (1602) and struts (1604). Each strut has a first end (1610) coupled to a shaft (1606) arranged to slide in a tube (1608) and a second end (1612) coupled to one of the arms (1602). A string (1616) is coupled to the shaft (1606). The arms (1602) have a stowed orientation in which the struts (1604) are folded inwards and a deployed orientation in which the struts (1604) point radially outwards and tautly hold the arms (1602) in an expanded position.

DETERMINING HEART CONDITION STATUSES USING SUBCUTANEOUS IMPEDANCE MEASUREMENTS

Techniques for obtaining impedance data to provide an early warning for heart failure decompensation are described. An example device may be configured to measure subcutaneous impedance values, and increment an impedance score. In some examples, the device may use an adaptive threshold and fluid index in incrementing the impedance score. In some examples, the impedance score is compared to a threshold to determine a heart failure status of a patient.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting, by a substance delivery system coupled to a body part of an individual, an input signal not associated with a biological measurement of the individual, determining from the input signal, by the substance delivery system, whether delivering a dosage of a substance stored in the substance delivery system is needed and conforms to a dosage policy, and responsive to determining from the input signal that delivery of the dosage of the substance is needed and conforms to the dosage policy, initiating, by the substance delivery system, delivery of the dosage of the substance to the body part of the individual. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Detecting potential health risks using nanorobotics

In one example, a device includes a detector. a sensor, a transceiver, and a reservoir. The detector triggers a chemical reaction upon contact with a target substance in a user's body. The sensor detects when the chemical reaction occurs. The transceiver transmits a first electronic signal containing a record of the chemical reaction to a user endpoint device for use in detecting potential health risks and receives a second electronic signal containing an instruction to dispense, from the reservoir, a medication for treating a condition indicated by a presence of the target substance in the user's body from the user endpoint device.
