ESTIMATING THE TEMPERATURE OF A HOUSING OF A DEVICE
Techniques for estimating the temperature of an external portion of a medical device are described. In an example, processing circuitry may determine a temperature sensed by at least one temperature sensor of an internal portion of the device, and determine, based on an algorithm that incorporates the temperature of the internal portion of the device, an estimated temperature of a second portion of the device, wherein the algorithm is representative of an estimated temperature difference between the first portion of the device and the second portion of the device based at least in part on a dynamic transfer function that operates in a time-domain.
Methods and systems for obtaining an electrocardiogram signal of a patient via a non-adhering, direct contact electrode apparatus
Various methods and systems are provided for a fabric cover including a plurality of integrated electrodes for measuring an electrocardiogram signal of a patient in direct contact with at least a subset of the plurality of integrate electrodes. As one example, a fabric cover for an infant incubator or warmer includes a plurality of electrodes spaced apart from one another within a measurement area of a surface of the fabric cover adapted to have direct contact with a patient, the plurality of electrodes including a topmost electrode extending across an entire width of the measurement area, a bottommost electrode extending across the entire width of the measurement area, and a set of electrodes arranged between the topmost electrode and bottommost electrode, in a direction perpendicular to the width, within the measurement area.
Delaying pre-term birth
A device for retarding birth including an upper ring for surrounding a cervix, an anchoring component for anchoring the device, and an elastic component for attaching the upper ring to the anchoring component, wherein the elastic component pushes the upper ring and the anchoring component apart. A device for retarding birth including a sleeve for surrounding a cervix along a greater portion of a length of the cervix, a support strip on the sleeve directed along an axis of the sleeve, and a ring at least partially around the sleeve, in which when a top of the sleeve is pushed to expand radially, the support strip pivots on the ring, such that an end of the support strip near the top of the sleeve moves radially outward, and an end of the support strip near the bottom of the sleeve moves radially inward. Related apparatus and methods are also described.
LOW OXYGEN IN VIVO ANALYTE SENSOR
The present invention relates generally to systems and methods for measuring an analyte in a host. More particularly, the present invention relates to systems and methods for transcutaneous and subcutaneous measurement of glucose in a host.
SYSTEM FOR MAINTAINING AND CONTROLLING SURGICAL TOOLS
Methods, apparatuses, and systems for maintaining and controlling surgical tools are disclosed. For each surgical tool, a surgeon can give verbal commands which can result in feedback provided by a synthesized voice or the execution of an action as instructed by the verbal command. The tools are monitored during use to ensure the tools remain within their operating parameters. The system alerts the surgeon should the tools approach their operational limitations.

METHOD AND SYSTEMS FOR HEART CONDITION DETECTION USING AN ACCELEROMETER
A system for monitoring a physiologic condition of a patient including an accelerometer configured to be implanted in the patient, the accelerometer configured to obtain multi-dimensional (MD) accelerometer data along at least two axes. When executing program instructions, the one or more processors may be configured to initiate a data collection interval in connection with patient activity, obtain the MD accelerometer data during the patient activity for at least one of a select period of time or until receiving a data collection halt instruction, and calculate a travel-related (TR) parameter based on the MD accelerometer data. The one or more processors may also be configured to correlate the TR parameter with physiologic data obtained during the patient activity, and store the TR parameter and physiologic data as indicators of a current physiologic state of the patient.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR OBTAINING AN ELECTROCARDIOGRAM SIGNAL OF A PATIENT VIA A NON-ADHERING, DIRECT CONTACT ELECTRODE APPARATUS

Polyurea copolymer coating compositions and methods
Durable polyurea copolymer coatings can be applied to surfaces that come in contact with fluids, such as biological fluids, thereby passivating the surface. Polyurea copolymer coating compositions comprise a reaction product of (a) a diamine composition that includes a polyethylene glycol diamine, and optionally, a dipiperidyl alkane; and (b) a diisocyanate. Solutions containing polyurea copolymers, coated surfaces and methods are also described.
Gastrointestinal motility measurement
The invention discloses a gastrointestinal motility measurement system based on a digestive tract capsule, which comprises a data acquisition module, a data processing module and a capsule. The data acquisition module is configured in the capsule, and comprises an ultrasonic distance measuring device or a 3D camera for acquiring a depth map or a point cloud of the inner wall of the digestive tract; The data processing module is used for processing the depth map or the point cloud to obtain the surface data of the inner wall surface of the digestive tract; Further extraction of morphological features, including the inner wall of the digestive tract, curvature, inner diameter and volume, can be used as a reference for the evaluation of gastrointestinal motility.
