System and method for positioning a patient within an x-ray apparatus
Systems and methods for positioning a patient during radiological measurements are provided. A biofeedback signal from the patient is received. While receiving the biofeedback signal from the patient and while the patient is positioned at a first position by the fixture, determining whether the biofeedback signal from the patient is indicative of the patient breathing at rest. Further, in accordance with a determination that the biofeedback signal from the patient is not indicative of the patient breathing at rest, articulating the patient using the fixture from the first position to a second position. In accordance with a determination that the biofeedback signal from the patient at the second position is indicative of the patient breathing at rest, obtaining radiological measurements of the patient with the patient positioned at the second position.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING CALIBRATION IMAGES FOR COUCH POSITION CALIBRATION
The present disclosure provides a system and method for couch position calibration. The method may include obtaining one or more first images of a couch at one or more first locations in a first device, each of the one or more first images corresponding to one of the one or more first locations, wherein the couch includes a mark, and the mark intersects a first reference plane of the first device at a plurality of first points of the mark; determining, in each of the one or more first images, a first position of a representation of each of the plurality of first points; obtaining correlation information between the first position and actual position of each of the plurality of first points; and determining one or more calibration images based on the correlation information and the one or more first images.
Mechanism and Methods for Quantifying the Tactile Acuity of the Human Breast
Breast reconstruction and/or mastectomy may be performed to treat or prevent breast cancer or for a variety of other purposes. These procedures can result in disruption of the innervation of the breast, leading to loss of sensation. This loss of sensation can lead to diminishment of sexual function, sexual dysfunction, or other undesired effects. Devices and methods are provided for quantitatively assessing the tactile acuity of the breast at multiple locations. These embodiments can be applied to assess the natural acuity of the breast to design or calibrate an implanted system for restoring perception in the post-reconstruction breast. These embodiments can be also applied to assess the change in the perceptual acuity of the breast due to reconstruction or some other surgical intervention.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR GUIDING AN INSTRUMENT BY A LUMINOUS POINTER
An instrument, a magnetic resonance imaging scanner and a method for operating the magnetic resonance imaging scanner with the instrument in which the instrument is aligned with a patient. The medical instrument comprises a first projector for projecting a luminous pointer in a predetermined alignment relative to the medical instrument. The magnetic resonance imaging scanner comprises a positioning aid configured to mark a predetermined position on an inner wall of a patient tunnel in a manner that is visible to a user. In the method, a predetermined alignment of the first projector relative to the medical instrument or position of the positioning aid on the wall of the patient tunnel is ascertained in which the luminous pointer of the first projector coincides with the positioning aid when the medical instrument is aligned parallel to a trajectory through an entry point on the patient and a target point in the patient and the medical instrument is aligned such that the luminous pointer and the positioning aid coincide.
Patient tables and magnetic resonance imaging equipment
A patient table includes a table body configured for bearing a patient, a connecting rod structure configured for supporting the table body, and a spring structure. The connecting rod structure is operable such that the table body may perform a lifting motion between a high position and a low position. Both ends of the spring structure are fixed. At least a first end of the spring structure is hinged to the connecting rod structure. The spring structure may be used for driving the lifting motion of the connecting rod structure and/or bearing the table body. The patient table may be used for nuclear magnetic resonance imaging equipment.
