A drive sense circuit of the drive sense module is operable to provide an analog and frequency domain signal to a variable capacitor. The drive sense circuit is further operable to detect a characteristic of the variable capacitor based on the analog and frequency domain signal and to generate a representative signal of the characteristic. The processing module is operable to generate a digital value based on the representative and to write the digital value to memory.
Apparatus and method for measuring bioinformation
An apparatus and a method of measuring bioinformation are provided. The apparatus for measuring bioinformation includes a first sensor configured to measure a first biosignal including arterial pulse wave information, a second sensor configured to measure a second biosignal including venous or capillary pulse wave information, and a bioinformation estimator configured to estimate bioinformation of a user based on a time delay between the first biosignal and the second biosignal.
Magnetic inductive sensing device and method
The invention provides a magnetic inductive sensing device (30) comprising a loop antenna (10) for inductively coupling with electromagnetic (EM) signals emitted from a medium in response to stimulation of the medium with electromagnetic excitation signals. The device includes an electromagnetic shield (36) element which is arranged such as to intercept electromagnetic signals travelling to or from the antenna. The shield element is formed of conductive material such as to block electrical field components of incident signals but further incorporates a non-conductive gap in the material so as to prevent the formation of eddy currents. A loop of the antenna is broken by an opening, the opening being bridged by a capacitor, and the device comprises a signal processing means which is electrically coupled to the antenna via only a single point of the antenna, located to one side of the opening.

One or more sensor modules disposed within the belly-covering garment. The one or more sensor modules comprise a pulse-oximeter sensor that gathers pulse oximetry data from the mother through contact with the belly. The one or more sensor modules also comprise an accelerometer sensor that gathers movement data from the mother. Additionally, the one or more sensor modules comprise a fetal sensor that gathers health data from a fetus within the belly.
Body composition analysis system
The inventive concept relates to a body composition analysis system. A body composition analysis system according to an embodiment of the inventive concept includes a sinusoidal signal generator, a synchronous detector, and a bioimpedance analyzer. The sinusoidal signal generator converts a digital sinusoidal signal having a target frequency into an analog sinusoidal signal. The synchronous detector extracts a target frequency component of a bioelectrical signal generated in response to an analog sinusoidal signal based on the digital sinusoidal signal. The bioimpedance analyzer calculates the bioimpedance based on the target frequency component of the bioelectrical signal. According to the inventive concept, it is possible to improve the selectivity for extracting the target frequency component of the bioelectrical signal and to reduce the area and variations of characteristics for the implementation of the integrated circuit.
