PRECURSORS FOR FORMING HETEROPHASIC ANTI-FOULING POLYMERIC COATINGS
An aqueous precursor liquid for forming an anti-fouling heterophasic thermoset polymeric coating is provided. The precursor liquid includes a first fluorine-containing polyol precursor having a functionality >about 2 that forms a fluorine-containing polymer component defining a first phase in the coating. The precursor liquid also includes a second precursor that forms a second component present as a second phase. The first phase can be a continuous phase and the second phase can be a discrete phase, or the second phase can be the continuous phase and the first phase can be the discrete phase. The discrete phase includes a plurality of domains each having an average size of ≥to about 500 nm to ≤to about 25,000 nm. A crosslinking agent, water, and optional acid or base are also present. Methods of making anti-fouling heterophasic thermoset polymeric coatings with such precursors are also provided.

POLYUREA COPOLYMER COATING COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS
Durable polyurea copolymer coatings can be applied to surfaces that come in contact with fluids, such as biological fluids, thereby passivating the surface. Polyurea copolymer coating compositions comprise a reaction product of (a) a diamine composition that includes a polyethylene glycol diamine, and optionally, a dipiperidyl alkane; and (b) a diisocyanate. Solutions containing polyurea copolymers, coated surfaces and methods are also described.
GREENHOUSE SCREEN WITH ANTIFOGGING EFFECT
The present invention relates to greenhouse screens comprising strips of film material that are interconnected by a yarn system of longitudinal threads and transverse threads by means of a knitting, warp-knitting or weaving process to form a continuous product. At least 50% of the strips comprise a single- or multi-layer polyester film having a transparency of at least 92%, wherein the polyester film has a first and a second surface, wherein a permanent antifog coating has been applied to at least one of the first or second surfaces of the polyester film. The antifog coating comprises at least one water-soluble polymer, an inorganic hydrophilic material and a crosslinker, wherein the water-soluble polymer is a polyvinyl alcohol or a hydrophilic amorphous copolymer. Furthermore, the present disclosure relates to production processes of the coated polyester film and its use for the production of energy-saving screens having excellent antifogging effect in greenhouses.
