To provide a slurry for thermal spraying capable of forming a favorable sprayed coating. The present invention provides a slurry for thermal spraying including spray particles including at least one material selected from the group consisting of ceramics, inorganic compounds, cermets, and metals and a dispersion medium. Here, the spray particles have an average particle size of 0.01 m or more and 10 m or less and are contained in the slurry for thermal spraying at a proportion of 10% by mass or more and 70% by mass or less. In the slurry for thermal spraying, the spray particles have a zeta potential of 200 mV or more and 200 mV or less.
FEEDSTOCK AND METHODS OF MAKING FEEDSTOCK FOR COLD SPRAY TECHNIQUES
A feedstock for a cold spray process includes a plurality of globule bodies. The globule bodies include a plurality of discrete particles bonded to one another to define porous globule bodies. The bonds between the particles are of sufficient strength such that the globule bodies can retain both the body integrity as well as the body shape when the body experiences acceleration from a conveying gas in a cold spray technique. Methods of making the feedstock and globule bodies are also described.
Corrosion inhibiting compositions and methods of making and using
A corrosion inhibiting composition includes one or more of a plurality of carriers, each having a carrier body and an organic corrosion inhibitor, such that the carrier body encapsulates the organic corrosion inhibitor, and the carrier body is formed of a degradable material. Coatings and methods for inhibiting corrosion on a metal substrate are also described herein.
CARPET COATING COMPOSITIONS
An aqueous carpet coating composition comprises: (A) at least one particulate filler material; and (B) a stabilized copolymer dispersion comprising: (a) a copolymer formed by emulsion polymerization of a monomer mixture comprising a vinyl ester of an alkanoic acid having 1 to 18 carbon atoms and 1 to 25 pphm of ethylene, wherein the copolymer comprises particles having a weight average particle size, d.sub.w, of at least 200 nm as determined by Beckman Coulter LS 13320; (b) water; and (c) a stabilizing system comprising (i) 1 to 4 pphm of an emulsifier component consisting of at least one non-ionic surfactant and (ii) 0.5 to 4 pphm of at least one first polyvinyl alcohol component having a degree of hydrolysis greater than 92 mol %.
