Generating setting parameters for an MRI sequence
11304619 · 2022-04-19 · ·

Techniques are described for generating setting parameters for an MRI sequence to be performed, wherein a conditional generative artificial neural network is used that has been trained as part of a conditional generative adversarial net. The techniques also include establishing a conditional generative artificial neural network. The conditioning of the conditional generative artificial neural network can be used to specify a specific medical application or question to obtain setting parameters for an MRI apparatus that are optimized with respect to said application or question.

20230301525 · 2023-09-28 ·

A method of determining an accurate measure of blood pressure, the method including the steps of: initially measuring a patient's blood pressure measurement; determining a temperature measurement of the surrounds where the pressure measurement was obtained; and modifying or normalising the blood pressure measurement by a correction factor as determined by the temperature measurement.

Physiological monitoring devices and methods using optical sensors

A monitoring device configured to be attached to a subject includes a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor configured to measure a plurality of physiological parameters from the subject, a motion sensor configured to detect an activity state of the subject, and a processor coupled to the PPG sensor and the motion sensor. The PPG sensor is configured to measure each physiological parameter in a respective one of a plurality of time intervals. The processor instructs the PPG sensor to measure a first one of the plurality of physiological parameters if the activity state is at or above a threshold, and to measure a second one of the plurality of physiological parameters if the activity state is below the threshold.

Method and device for continuous blood pressure monitoring and estimation

A method and device is provided for the continuous estimation of the blood pressure using a noninvasive technique. The method involves sensing of the displacement signal generated by the palpation of the radial artery. The radial artery is modelled as a cylindrical voight type viscoelastic tissue for the estimation of the personalized blood pressure. The model includes the displacement signal and a set of parameters as an input. The set of parameters include a mean radius of the artery, a radius at zero mmHg, a viscoelastic damping parameter, an elasticity of the artery and a thickness of wall of artery. The method involves the optimization of the set of parameters using heuristic optimization techniques, which helps in the estimation of the systolic and diastolic blood pressure. The method and device can also be personalized for individualized monitoring and estimation of the blood pressure of the person.

Systems and methods directed to the assessment of tissue vascular health. An optical measurement device includes a light source with one or more wavelengths, configured to illuminate an area of tissue, a detector configured to capture the light reflecting from the tissue at the one or more illumination wavelengths, a processor configured to compute, based on the detected signal, one or more estimates of tissue vascular health, and a display or communication device (e.g., electronic data transfer) configured to store or report the tissue vascular health.

Physiological sampling during predetermined activities

This disclosure relates to methods for measuring one or more physiological signals while the user is engaged in a predetermined activity. Exemplary predetermined activities can include activities such as walking, climbing stairs, biking, and the like. The physiological measurements can include, but are not limited to, heart rate signals. The physiological measurements may be affected by the predetermined activity, so the system may be configured to employ one or more criteria prior to measuring physiological information to minimize the effects. The one or more criteria can include, but are not limited to, an inter-sampling waiting time, continuous motion criteria, predetermined activity criteria, a post-physiological measurement amount of time, and a confidence value. The continuous motion criteria can be based on the type of predetermined activity. For example, walking may have walking state criteria and a step count criteria.

Determining intensity of a biological response to a presentation

Example methods, apparatus/systems and articles of manufacture for determining intensity of a biological response to a presentation are disclosed. An example method includes accessing galvanic skin response (GSR) data obtained from a subject while exposed to a presentation. The GSR data includes a plurality of trough-to-peak instances. The example method includes generating a GSR intensity profile by assigning trough-to-peak scores to corresponding ones of the trough-to-peak instances, defining a plurality of time windows, and assigning window scores to corresponding ones of the time windows based on the trough-to-peaks scores of the trough-to-peak instances occurring within the corresponding time windows. The example method also includes determining an effectiveness of the presentation based on the window scores of the GSR intensity profile.
