20230159789 · 2023-05-25 ·

The invention relates to an aqueous dispersion containing a mixture of linear fluorinated and non-fluorinated polyurethane acrylates, obtainable by: a) reacting polyisocyanate A′, multi-unsaturated OH-functional compound B′, acid-functional polyol C′ under urethane formation reaction conditions in the presence of intermediate X, wherein intermediate X is an OH-functional (per)fluoropolyether (PFPE) derivative, and b) adding neutralizer D to the reaction product of step a) and dispersing it in water. The dispersion can be used in preparation of a coating with easy-clean, anti-stain and anti-scratch properties, which can advantageously be used for coating substrates in consumer electronics or automotive applications.

Disclosed is a surface covering including: a wood-based substrate; a surface coating layer, the surface coating layer being obtained by the irradiation of a radiation-curable coating agent with UV light having a wavelength included from 120 nm to 230 nm; and a filler coating layer, the filler coating layer being located between the wood-based substrate and the surface coating layer. Also disclosed is a method for the manufacture of such a surface covering.

Fold Protection for Spiral Filtration Modules Utilizing UV Cured Polyurethane and Method of Providing Same

Disclosed is a dual UV and reaction curable, two component adhesive comprising both acrylic chemistry and polyurethane chemistry. The UV curable acrylate component provides a fast cure reaction to generate a tack-free surface. The mixed two component polyurethane cures to a reaction product that provides flexibility and chemical resistance. The adhesive is useful as fold protection for spiral filtration modules. When cured on a membrane the adhesive will maintain integrity and adhesion to membrane after treatments of creasing and soaking at high temperature, pressure, and wide pH ranges.
