CLOUD-BASED GAMING PLATFORM WITH HEALTH-RELATED DATA COLLECTION
20230223122 · 2023-07-13 ·

A system and method for a cloud-based gaming platform with integrated health-related data collection capabilities. In an embodiment, the system and method comprise a cloud-based gaming platform comprising a frontend accessible from various game clients which operates a gaming environment on one or more game servers, a backend that provides the game database and analytics used by the game servers to operate the gaming environment, and a HIPPA-compliant security gateway configured to route health-related data from gaming to a healthcare diagnostics and treatment module integrated into the platform. Exercising on an exercise machine compatible with the cloud-based gaming platform entertains the user while simultaneously capturing data about the user's physical and mental performance which can later be used to diagnose medical conditions and, depending on configuration, implement treatment regimens comprising exercise routines and mental simulation via tasks in the gaming environment.

System and method of detecting sleep disorders

An apparatus for detecting sleep disorders, such as obstructive sleep apnea, includes a housing insertable into an ear canal of a subject. A sensor disposed within the housing measures a position of the subject's head relative to an axis of gravity. A transducer is responsive to the sensor and is capable of creating a stimulus detectable by the subject under certain conditions. In various embodiments, a controller receives signals corresponding to a pitch angle and a roll angle of the subject's head measured by the sensor, determines if the pitch and roll angles correspond to a sleep apnea inducing position, and causes the transducer to generate a stimulus upon determining that the subject's head is in the sleep apnea inducing position more than a predetermined threshold number of times. Various parameters of the stimulus may be modified with successive stimulus generation until a non-sleep apnea inducing position is detected.

Mouth Guard Having Low-Profile Printed Circuit Board For Sensing And Notification Of Impact Forces

A mouth guard senses impact forces and determines if the forces exceed an impact threshold. If so, the mouth guard notifies the user of the risk for injury by haptic feedback, vibratory feedback, and/or audible feedback. The mouth guard system may also remotely communicate the status of risk and the potential injury. The mouth guard uses a local memory device to store impact thresholds based on personal biometric information obtained from the user and compares the sensed forces relative to those threshold values. The mouth guard and its electrical components on the printed circuit board are custom manufactured for the user such that the mouth guard provides a comfortable and reliable fit, while ensuring exceptional performance.

Disclosed herein are systems, assemblies and methods of a sensor system that applies a correction factor to spectra information based on a force associated with a touch from a person applying the touch to the sensor system.

APPARATUS AND METHOD PROVIDING A HAND-MOUNTED SURGICAL TOOL
20230210582 · 2023-07-06 ·

A method and apparatus for providing hand-mounted surgical tools is provided. The apparatus includes a housing configured to be mounted to a body of a user. The apparatus also includes an optical source to generate a first optical signal in an absorption spectrum of a biocompatible fluorescing dye (BFD). The apparatus also includes an optical detector to detect a second optical signal in an emission spectrum of the BFD. The apparatus also includes a processor to receive a signal from the optical detector that indicates that the second optical signal was detected by the optical detector. The processor is further configured to cause the apparatus to transmit a signal to a non-visual feedback device to cause the non-visual feedback device to output non-visual feedback to the user that the second optical signal was detected by the optical detector.

Dynamically deformable surfaces to analyze user conditions using biodata

A surface of a vehicle component can be dynamically deformable surface. The dynamically deformable surface can be configured to undergo deformations to dynamically form a dynamic button or other user interface element on demand. The dynamically deformable surface can include one or more biosensors. When a user engages the dynamic button with a portion of the body, the one or more biosensors can acquire user biodata. The user biodata can be used by the vehicle as input for various purposes. For instance, the vehicle can operate as a health-monitoring and/or comfort monitoring system. As a result of these arrangements, buttons and other user interface elements can appear and disappear depending on the need and/or application, providing a cleaner vehicle cockpit interface and greatly expanding the possibilities of where such buttons can be located at and how many things can be controlled by the driver using physical interfaces.

CLOUD - BASED HEALTHCARE DIAGNOSTICS AND TREATMENT PLATFORM
20230215532 · 2023-07-06 ·
