Opioid overdose monitoring
An overdose of opioids can cause the user to stop breathing, resulting in death. A physiological monitoring system monitors respiration based on oxygen saturation readings from a fingertip pulse oximeter in communication with a smart mobile device and sends opioid monitoring information from the smart mobile device to an opioid overdose monitoring service. The opioid overdose monitoring service notifies a first set of contacts when the opioid monitoring information.
Wearable device and method of operating the same
A wearable device and a method of operating the same are provided. The wearable device includes a shoe assembly, a plurality of pressure sensors, a processing circuit and an alarm module. The plurality of pressure sensors are disposed on the shoe assembly and configured to generate a plurality of pressure sensing values. The processing circuit is configured to calculate a center of gravity coordinate according to the plurality of pressure sensing values and coordinates of the plurality of pressure sensors, and generate a determination result according to the center of gravity coordinate. The alarm module is configured to output an alarm signal to perform an alarm function.
System and method for physiological feature derivation
The present disclosure relates to a device, method and system for calculating, estimating, or monitoring the blood pressure of a subject based on physiological features and personalized models. At least one processor, when executing instructions, may perform one or more of the following operations. A first signal representing a pulse wave relating to heart activity of a subject may be received. A plurality of second signals representing time-varying information on a pulse wave of the subject may be received. A personalized model for the subject may be designated. Effective physiological features of the subject based on the plurality of second signals may be determined. A blood pressure of the subject based on the effective physiological features and the designated model for the subject may be calculated.
Implantable monitoring device and method of operating the implantable monitoring device
An implantable monitoring device includes first sensors to measure state information of one or both of a posture and an activity of a user and second sensors to measure bioinformation of two or more of an electrocardiogram (ECG) of a heart of the user, a pulmonary impedance of a lung of the user, a movement of the heart, a movement of a thorax including the lung, and a respiratory quotient (RQ) of the lung, two electrodes to detect bioinformation to measure one or both of the ECG and the pulmonary impedance, an analog circuit to process the detected bioinformation to measure the one or both of the ECG and the pulmonary impedance, and a processor to monitor an abnormal state of the heart and the lung of the user based on the state information and the bioinformation.
Vehicle and safe driving assistance method therefor
A vehicle includes a processing device that detects an authentication device approaching the vehicle, determines a user's impaired state based on user condition information acquired using at least one device mounted on the vehicle, and performs a safe driving assistance service. The safe driving assistance service can prevent an impaired user from operating the vehicle.
Physical methods for living tissue inactivation and detection, and physical methods in use for the detection and inactivation of living bodies (like Ebola and 2019 Coronavirus) in living systems and non-living systems thereof
A system for detecting presence of coronavirus in a subject, the system including a first pad for placing a first hand, the pad including a contact to measure conductance of the subject's body, a conductance meter connected to the contact, a second pad for placing a second hand, a source of electromagnetic radiation for irradiating the second pad. A system for detecting presence of coronavirus in a subject, the system including a chip with a plurality of wires disposed on or in the chip, a conductance meter arranged to measure conductance between the wires, and biological material associated with the coronavirus disposed on or in the chip. Related apparatus and methods are also described.
METHOD FOR SIGNALLING VITAL PARAMETERS AND/OR VITAL PARAMETER PATTERNS IN A VEHICLE
A method for signaling a measured and/or a predetermined vital parameter and/or vital parameter pattern for a vehicle occupant in a vehicle involves arranging a functional element set up to have a visual and/or audible and/or haptic effect on at least one vehicle occupant, and a measured and/or a predetermined vital parameter and/or vital parameter pattern is signaled non-verbally by the functional element.
METHODS, DEVICES, AND SYSTEMS FOR PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETER ANALYSIS
A method for deriving physiological parameters may include: measuring a glucose level of a subject over time; measuring a HbA1c of individual red blood cells in a sample comprising a plurality of red blood cells; deriving a measured cellular HbA1c distribution of the sample; and calculating at least one physiological parameter selected from the group consisting of (a) a red blood cell elimination constant (k.sub.age), (b) a red blood cell glycation rate constant (k.sub.gly), and/or (c) an apparent glycation constant (K) based on the measured cellular HbA1c distribution and the glucose levels of the subject over time.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING A NOTIFICATION OF A MEDICAL CONDITION
A system and method for preliminarily identifying a medical condition in a monitored patient. A predetermined set of patient physiological parameters that are indicative of the presence of a medical condition is monitored. If all of the patient physiological parameters meet a predetermined criteria, a notification is activated that is indicative of the presence of the medical condition. Optionally, users are provided with guidance concerning additional patient physiological parameters to be checked to confirm the presence of the medical condition.
DETECTION OF SEIZURE EVENTS
In some examples, a device for detecting seizure events can include a non-transitory machine readable medium storing instructions executable by a processing resource to generate a point cloud of an object, monitor a movement of the generated point cloud based on data received from a sensor, and detect a seizure event based on the monitored movement
