Violet light exciteable blue-emitting oxynitride phosphors and uses thereof
Provided herein are phosphors of the general molecular formula:
A.sub.3-2xEu.sub.xMP.sub.3O.sub.9N,
wherein the variables are as defined herein. Methods of producing the phosphors are also provided. In some aspects, the present disclosure provides light-emitting devices comprising these phosphors.
PHOSPHOR COMPOSITION
A method is disclosed for forming a blended phosphor composition. The method includes the steps of firing precursor compositions that include europium and nitrides of at least calcium, strontium and aluminum, in a refractory metal crucible and in the presence of a gas that precludes the formation of nitride compositions between the nitride starting materials and the refractory metal that forms the crucible. The resulting compositions can include phosphors that convert frequencies in the blue portion of the visible spectrum into frequencies in the red portion of the visible spectrum.
Method of producing mechanoluminescent fibers
Described herein is the application of centrifugal spinning to provide a flexible mechanoluminescent material composed of rare earth metal doped fibers. Rare earth metal doped fibers are formed, in one embodiment, by centrifugal spinning.
Phosphor, method for producing a phosphor and use of a phosphor
A phosphor and a method for making the phosphor are disclosed. In an embodiment a phosphor for emission of red light includes Sr(Sr.sub.aCa.sub.1-a)Si.sub.2Al.sub.2N.sub.6:Eu, wherein x is 0.8<x≤1, wherein between 0.1% and 5% inclusive of the Sr, Ca and/or Sr/Ca lattice sites are replaced by Eu, wherein the parameter value a is between 0.6 and 1.0 inclusive, wherein the phosphor has a structure comprising (Si/Al)N.sub.4 tetrahedra arranged in a 3D network, in which layers in an a-c plane are linked in a b-direction, and wherein pure Sr positions and positions having a mixed Sr/Ca population are intercalated between the network, layer by layer.
Radiation sensing thermoplastic composite panels
A storage phosphor panel can include an extruded inorganic storage phosphor layer including a thermoplastic polymer and an inorganic storage phosphor material, where the extruded inorganic storage phosphor panel has an image quality comparable to that of a traditional solvent coated inorganic storage phosphor screen. Further disclosed are certain exemplary method and/or apparatus embodiments that can provide inorganic storage phosphor panels including a selected blue dye that can be recycled while maintaining sufficient image quality characteristics.
Light emitting device and light source
A light emitting device includes at least one first light emitting element to emit a first light having a first peak emission wavelength in a range of 370 nm or greater and 415 nm or less, and at least one fluorescent material to convert the first light to a second light having a second peak wavelength in a range of 550 nm or greater and to 780 nm or less. In an emission spectrum of the light emitting device, a ratio of an intensity of the first peak emission wavelength to a maximum intensity of the second peak emission wavelength is in a range of 0.005 to 0.20.
ANTIBODIES SPECIFICALLY BINDING TO MASP-3 FOR THE TREATMENT OF VARIOUS DISEASES AND DISORDERS
The present invention relates to MASP-3 inhibitory antibodies and compositions comprising such antibodies for use in inhibiting the adverse effects of MASP-3 dependent complement activation.
Radiation monitor
The present invention includes: a radiation detecting unit including a fluorescent body expressed by the formula ATaO.sub.4: B, C (in the formula, A is selected from at least one kind of element from among rare-earth elements involving 4f-4f transitions, B is selected from at least one kind of element, different from A, from among rare-earth elements involving 4f-4f transitions, and C is selected from at least one kind of element from among rare-earth elements involving 5d-4f transitions); an optical fiber that transmits photons generated by the fluorescent body; a light detector that converts the photons transmitted via the optical fiber 3 one by one into electrical pulse signals; a counter that counts the number of electrical pulse signals converted by the light detector; an analysis and display device 6 that obtains a radiation dose rate on the basis of the number of electrical pulse signals counted by the counter.
