Metalworking Fluid
A metalworking fluid is disclosed. The fluid comprises an oleaginous component, an aqueous component, and a surfactant dispersed in the aqueous component. The fluid comprises micelles of the oleaginous and the aqueous component. The average micelle diameter follows a Gaussian distribution having a mean , and wherein the standard deviation a is less than or equal to 0.2.
Lubricant Composition
Lubricant compositions comprising a base oil, one or more antioxidants selected from a group consisting of N--naphthyl-N-phenylamine antioxidants and diphenylamine antioxidants; and one or more sulfur-containing additives exhibit outstanding oxidative stability and non-corrosion properties. The N--naphthyl-N-phenylamine antioxidants plus diphenylamine antioxidants in total may be present from about 0.2 wt % to about 0.8 wt %, based on the total weight of the lubricant composition. The sulfur provided by the sulfur-containing additives, in total, may be present from about 50 ppm to about 1000 ppm by weight, based on the total weight of the lubricant composition.
Use of Lubricants on the Basis of Water-Soluble, High Viscosity Polyglycols
The present invention relates to the use of lubricants on the basis of water-soluble, high-viscosity polyethylene glycols for lubricating open gearing, which is for example used in rotary kilns and mills.
GREASE COMPOSITION AND SEALING DEVICE USING SAME
There is provided a grease composition which is supplied between a plurality of lips provided in a sealing device that seals between a pair of members that rotate relative to each other, wherein the grease composition comprises a base oil (A), a thickening agent (B) and a rust preventive agent (C); a kinematic viscosity of the base oil (A) at 40? C. is 30 to 80 mm.sup.2/s; the thickening agent (B) is a diurea compound represented by Formula (1); and the composition comprises 5 to 15% by mass of the thickening agent (B) and 0.1 to 2.0% by mass of the rust preventive agent (C) based on the total of the grease composition.
R.sup.1NHCONHR.sup.2NHCONHR.sup.3(1)
wherein R.sup.2 is a divalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 15 carbon atoms, and R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 are a linear or branched alkyl group having 8 to 22 carbon atoms.
Thus, a grease composition is provided, which can suppress a torque difference due to a rotation direction and exhibits excellent sealing properties.
Industrial Fluid
An industrial fluid is disclosed. The fluid comprises an oleaginous component, an aqueous component, and a surfactant. Substantially all of the surfactant is bound within micelles of the oleaginous component. This results in there being substantially no unbound surfactant present in the fluid. The industrial fluid is also substantially flee from insoluble defoamers or anti-foam compounds.
Industrial Fluid
An industrial fluid is disclosed. The fluid comprises an oleaginous component, an aqueous component, and a surfactant dispersed in the aqueous component. The average micelle diameter follows a Gaussian distribution having a mean, , and wherein the standard deviation is less than or equal to 0.2. The industrial fluid is also substantially free from defoamers or anti-foam compounds.
Industrial Fluid
An industrial fluid is disclosed. The fluid comprises an oleaginous component, an aqueous component, and a surfactant dispersed in the aqueous component. The industrial fluid does not contain defoamers or anti-foam compounds. The surfactant is bound within micelles of the oleaginous component and the aqueous component.
ULTRA LOW ASH LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITIONS
The present disclosure generally relates to a lubricating oil composition having a sulfur content of up to 0.4 wt. % and a sulfated ash content of up to 0.6 wt. %, as determined by ASTM D874, comprising: a major amount of base oil; at least 0.02 wt. % of triazole compound; less than about 1.3 wt. % of a diphenylamine antioxidant; and at least 900 ppm of molybdenum from a molybdenum containing compound; wherein the lubricating oil composition is essentially free of ZnDTP. Also provided are methods for reducing wear and copper corrosion in an engine which is equipped with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) or a gasoline particulate filter (GPF) after treatment device system.
Lubricants containing quaternary ammonium compounds
A driveline device is lubricated with a composition of an oil of lubricating viscosity and an oil-soluble quaternary ammonium compound, such as a succinimide or succinamide material or dispersant further containing a quaternary nitrogen atom, and a thiadiazole compound.
