LUBRICATING COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR THE USE THEREOF
Disclosed herein are lubricating compositions and methods of use of the same, including for, e.g., use in metalworking operations.
Gel lubricant, rolling bearing, pivot assembly bearing, and hard disk drive
There is provided a gel lubricant including: a base oil containing an ester synthetic oil and a synthetic hydrocarbon oil in which the mass ratio (X:Y) of the ester synthetic oil (X) to the synthetic hydrocarbon oil (Y) is in the range of 35:65 to 75:25; and a gelatinizer which contains two kinds of styrene block copolymers and is included in the gel lubricant in an amount of 1.5% by mass to 10% by mass.
Lubricating oil composition
The present invention is a lubricating oil composition containing, per 100 parts by mass of (A) an ester compound of a neopentyl polyol having 5 to 10 carbon atoms and a valence of alcohol of 2 to 6 and a linear unsaturated fatty acid having 16 to 22 carbon atoms, 0.1 to 1.5 parts by mass of a specific (B) acid phosphate ester amine salt, 0.01 to 0.25 parts by mass of a specific (C) succinic acid monoester, and 0.01 to 0.25 parts by mass of (D)N-oleoylsarcosine. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a lubricating oil composition which is excellent in biodegradability, lubricity (anti-wear property), and rust preventive property against seawater, which is low in toxicity and accumulation to aquatic organisms, and further which is excellent in oxidation stability even in the presence of seawater.
Grease composition for vehicular hub unit bearings
A grease composition for vehicular hub unit bearings is provided, in which a base oil is a synthetic hydrocarbon oil having a kinematic viscosity at 40 C. of 25-50 mm.sup.2/s, a thickener is an alicyclic aliphatic diurea compound, based on a total mass of the composition, 0.1-5% by mass of a carboxylic acid-based corrosion inhibitor, 0.1-5% by mass of a carboxylic acid salt-based corrosion inhibitor, and 0.1-3% by mass of an amine salt of a fatty acid are contained, and a worked penetration is 220-270.
Macromolecular corrosion (MCIN) inhibitors: structures, methods of making and using the same
Disclosed are multifunctional compounds represented by structural formula (I): ##STR00001##
methods of producing compounds represented by structural formula (I) and their use in inhibiting corrosion in corrodible material.
GREASE COMPOSITION AND ROLLING DEVICE
A grease composition includes: (A) a trimellitic acid ester, (B1) a phenyl naphthylamine, (B2) an alkyl diphenylamine, (C1) a succinic acid half ester, (C2) a sorbitan monoester, and (D) a urea-based thickener. This grease composition is excellent in anti-flaking, rust prevention, and oxidation resistance properties, and furthermore, a fatigue life of a rolling device and the like in which the grease is enclosed can be maintained for a long time.
MACROMOLECULAR CORROSION (McIn) INHIBITORS: STRUCTURES, METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject polymer, comprising a specific structural unit, having excellent antimicrobial, anthelmintic, antioxidizing and deodorizing actions and useful as a food, a coating, a fiber, etc. CONSTITUTION: This acrylamidomethylpolyphenol polymer comprises (A) 10-100 mol % structural unit of formula I [R<1> is H or CH3; R<2> is a group of formula II (R<3> is H or OH; R<4> is H or 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoyl; one of a1 to a4 is a single bond and other three are H) or a group of a benzene skeleton, a naphthalene skeleton or an anthracene skeleton all having >=2 OH groups] and (B) 0-90 mol % structural unit of formula III (R<5> is R<1>; R<6> is H or an alkyl) or a structural unit of the formula [CH2-C(R<7>R<8>)][R<7> is R<1>; R<8> is H, Cl, CN, etc.]. Furthermore, the method for producing the polymer is to carry out the condensing reaction of, e.g. an acrylamide copolymer comprising the structural unit of formula III and the structural unit of the formula [CH2-C(R<7>R<8>)] with the corresponding polyphenol such as a compound of formula IV in the presence of an acidic catalyst in a reaction medium.
