A sliding member in which a sliding layer is capable of exhibiting excellent sliding characteristics in terms of seizure resistance, wear resistance and heat resistance.
A method for manufacturing the sliding member of the present teachings is a method for manufacturing a sliding member to manufacture a sliding member sliding with a mating material. The manufacturing method includes irradiating particulate ultra high molecular weight polyethylene with radiation rays in a sealed state, and crosslinking the ultra high molecular weight polyethylene, preparing a composition for a sliding layer containing a solid lubricant and a binder resin, and forming a sliding layer sliding with the mating material by providing the composition for a sliding layer on a base material, and obtaining the sliding member. The solid lubricant includes the ultra high molecular weight polyethylene crosslinked during the irradiating and the crosslinking.

One of the metallic anti-corrosion and anti-galling layers is coated with a passivation layer and the other is at least partially coated with a lubricant layer.
COMPOSITION, FILM FORMED FROM THE COMPOSITION, SLIDING MEMBER HAVING THE FILM, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A film is formed by use of a composition containing (A) a binder resin, (B) a hard particle, and (C) a solid lubricant selected from the group containing molybdenum disulfide and graphite, wherein the composition contains tungsten carbide as the hard particle, and wherein weight ratio of (B) the hard particles and (C) the solid lubricant, (B)/(C), is in the range of 1 to 3.
Polyamide-based surface material with fillers for sliding element
The invention relates to a polyamide-based surface material having fillers which improve the tribologically active properties, wherein the fillers comprise at least one metal sulfide and/or calcium phosphate. The invention further relates to a three-dimensional molded body consisting of a surface material, produced, in particular, as an injection-molded part or extrusion part and or by additive fabrication.
Polyamide resin composition, molded article, and method for manufacturing polyamide resin pellet
Provided is a polyamide resin composition capable of providing a molded article having an excellent wear resistance while maintaining a high mechanical strength; a molded article; and a method for manufacturing a polyamide resin pellet. The polyamide resin composition includes a polyamide resin and an inorganic filler, wherein the polyamide resin includes diamine-derived constituent units and dicarboxylic acid derived constituent units; 70 mol % or more of the diamine-derived constituent units are derived from 1,4-bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane; a molar ratio of cis:trans of the 1,4-bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane is from 35:65 to 0:100; 70 mol % or more of the dicarboxylic acid-derived constituent units are derived from an α,ω-linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having from 8 to 12 carbons; and the polyamide resin includes phosphorus atoms in a ratio of from 20 to 100 mass ppm and comprises calcium atoms so as to be phosphorus atoms:calcium atoms of 1:0.3 to 0.7 in a molar ratio.
SLIDING SPLINE SHAFT DEVICE
A sliding spline shaft device of the present invention includes a male spline and a female spline that is fitted to the male spline in an axially slidable manner, and at least one of the splines has a surface processed layer. The surface processed layer includes an undercoat layer, an intermediate layer containing phosphate, and a topcoat layer containing solid lubricant, in this order. The undercoat layer contains iron nitride and/or iron carbide. Thus, the surface of a base material has high hardness. As a result, microscopic deformation of the sliding surface is reduced, and increase in a real contact area is suppressed, whereby stick-slip is prevented.
Lubricant for powder metallurgy and metal powder compositions containing said lubricant
A particulate composite lubricant for powder metallurgy is provided. It includes: first discrete particles comprising Montan acid ester wax and at least one fatty amide wax including at least one of: a fatty primary monoamide wax and a fatty bisamide wax. In another embodiment, the particulate composite lubricant for powder metallurgy includes first discrete particles comprising Montan acid ester wax and second discrete particles comprising an organic, metal-free pulverulent lubricant selected from the group consisting of fatty bisamide waxes, fatty monoamide waxes, glycerides, Montan acid ester waxes, paraffin wax, polyolefines, polyamides, polyesters, and mixtures thereof, wherein the particulate composite lubricant comprises at least one fatty amide wax including at least one of a fatty monoamide wax and a fatty bisamide wax.
