REDUCTION OF SURFACE TENSION, INTERFACIAL TENSION, AND CRITICAL MICELLE CONCENTRATION USING A PROTEIN-BASED SURFACTANT SYNERGIST

Surfactant-containing compositions are described which include a protein component that has the effect of improving the surface-active properties of the surfactants contained in the compositions. The surfactant-containing compositions having the protein component demonstrate significantly lower critical micelle concentrations (CMC), reduced surface tensions, and reduced interfacial tensions than do comparable compositions having no protein component. In addition, the surfactant-containing compositions having the protein component has the effect of converting greasy waste contaminants to surface active materials.

HYDROPHILIZATION TREATMENT AGENT COMPOSITION

The present invention is a hydrophilization treatment agent composition containing (A) a branched anionic surfactant, (B) a di-long chain hydrocarbon cationic surfactant, and water, wherein a molar ratio of (B) to a total of (A) and (B), (B)/[(A)+(B)], is 0.1 or more and 0.8 or less.

Cleaning compositions and methods for removing baked on grease from fryers and other hot surfaces

Cleaning compositions and methods of use thereof for cleaning fryers and other hard surfaces soiled by grease, shortening, oils and other soils commonly encountered in the food service industry are disclosed. Cleaning compositions and methods of use which beneficially remove soils from vertical and/or inverted surfaces, reduce the cleaning time required for removing such difficult to remove and baked on soils, reduce exposure to hot surfaces by allowing cleaning at or near room temperature, reduce exposure to caustic chemicals, and/or eliminate the need for personal protective equipment (PPE) for use of the cleaning compositions are disclosed.

USE OF AN IONIC LIQUID AND ALCOHOL BLEND TO MODIFY THE RHEOLOGY OF POLYETHOXYLATED ALCOHOL SULFATES

In one embodiment, a polyethoxylated alcohol sulfate composition is provided which includes a polyethoxylated alcohol sulfate, such as sodium laureth ether sulfate (SLES), water, an ionic liquid, and an alcohol. The ionic liquid and the alcohol form a synergistic blend, enabling a significant reduction of the viscosity of the polyethoxylated alcohol sulfate composition. Also provided is an embodiment of a method for modifying the rheology of polyethoxylated alcohol sulfate by use of an ionic liquid and alcohol blend. Finally provided is an embodiment of a detergent composition which is prepared by use of the polyethoxylated alcohol sulfate composition described herein, in addition to other commonly known ingredients.

Cleaning product

A cleaning product having a spray dispenser and a cleaning composition suitable for spraying and foaming, the composition is housed in the spray dispenser and the composition includes: i) from 7% to 12% by weight of the composition of a surfactant system; and ii) from 1% to 15% by weight of the composition of a low cut alcohol alkoxylate non-ionic surfactant. It is an object to provide a product that makes the cleaning of dishware easier and faster. It has now been found that the cleaning composition is substantially non-irritating and/or non-stinging to the consumer when sprayed from the spray dispenser.

IMPROVEMENTS IN RELATION TO THE MANUFACTURE OF PERSONAL CLEANSING COMPOSITIONS
20210236393 · 2021-08-05 ·

The invention relates to a method of making solid cleansing compositions which comprise a non-soap anionic surfactant, a carrier, an emulsifier and water. The method entails preparing an emulsion of the components at an elevated temperature using excess water and subjecting the emulsion to cooling and solidification, wherein the water content is reduced. The invention further relates to the emulsions and to the novel solid cleansing compositions formed therefrom.
