AMINO ACID SURFACTANTS
The present disclosure provides derivatives of amino acids that have surface-active properties. The amino acid can be naturally-occurring or synthetic, or they may be obtained via a ring-opening reaction of a lactam, such as caprolactam. The amino acid may be functionalized to form a compound that is surface-active and have advantageous surfactant characteristics. The compounds of the present disclosure have low critical micelle concentrations (CMC) as well as superior ability to lower the surface tension of a liquid.
SURFACTANTS FROM ALDEHYDES
Methods for synthesizing oleo-furan surfactants from fatty aldehydes and compositions of furan based surfactants synthesized from such methods are disclosed. One method of forming a surfactant can include a hydroxyalkylation reaction of two methylfuran molecules with a fatty aldehyde molecule to form a di-furan product. This method can also include forming a surfactant from the di-furan product formed from the hydroxyalkylation. In particular, this di-furan product can be a surfactant precursor that is functionalized to form a surfactant.

SOLID FREE-FLOWING PARTICULATE LAUNDRY DETERGENT COMPOSITION
A solid free-flowing particulate laundry detergent composition, wherein the composition including a detersive surfactant, an iron-based bleach catalyst and a peroxygen-based bleach, and the composition having an equilibrium pH at 20 C. at a concentration of 10 g/l in deionized water of 10.0 or less.
LIQUID DETERGENT COMPOSITION
The need for a liquid detergent composition, especially a hand dishwashing liquid detergent which provides a more consistent sudsing experience, regardless of the hardness of the water used to prepare the cleaning liquor, while also providing improved initial suds formation and suds mileage in the presence of greasy soils, especially under hard water conditions, is met by formulating a liquid detergent composition to comprise an anionic surfactant and a co-surfactant, wherein the anionic surfactant comprises an alkyl isosorbide sulphate anionic surfactant.
