SURFACTANT SYSTEM
20200165543 · 2020-05-28 ·

The invention relates to a surfactant composition comprising a primary surfactant of sulfonated methyl ester (SME) of a fatty acid having a chain length of 16 to 18 carbon atoms (C16-C18); a secondary surfactant having a carbon chain length shorter than that of the primary surfactant; a non-ionic co-surfactant; a hydrotrope; and a solvent. The secondary surfactant can be a SME of a fatty acid having a chain length of 12 to 14 carbon atoms (C12-C14) or sodium lauryl ether sulfate (SLES). The invention also relates to use of said surfactant composition as a surfactant system in a detergent.

Petroleum distillates with increased solvency

Certain fatty acid amide-based surfactants such as cocamide DEA (also known as coco(nut) diethanolamide or coco(nut) DEA) when dissolved or dispersed in a cutting oil (diesel, light cycle oil, naphtha, and such other petroleum distillates) produce a petroleum distillate having significantly enhanced solvency for heavy residuals. Such solutions or dispersions are especially useful for cleaning vessels and similar equipment in refineries by circulating the solution or dispersion in the vessel, optionally with the application of heat.

SURFACTANT COMPOSITION

The present invention provides a surfactant composition which includes a surfactant at a high concentration, while having fluidity over a wide concentration range. A surfactant composition according to the present invention contains the components A, B, C and D described below, and is configured such that: the total content of the components A, B and C is from 30% by mass to 80% by mass (inclusive); the mass ratio of the total content of the components A and B to the content of the component C, namely (A+B)/C is from 20/80 to 80/20; and the mass ratio of the content of the component A to the content of the component B, namely A/B is from 98/2 to 45/55. A: an internal olefin sulfonic acid and/or a salt thereof; B: an anionic surfactant other than the component A; C: a nonionic surfactant; D: water

FABRIC SOFTENER COMPOSITIONS

A fabric softener composition including (i) 2 to 50 wt % quaternary ammonium ester fabric softener compound; and (ii) an amide of formula I:

Composition of a hydrogel soap, a hydrogel soap, and a method of preparing the same. The hydrogel soap represents detergency or moisturizing power superior to that of a general soap and has weak acidity or neutral-pH (pH 5.0 to pH 7.0), so that the skin irritation is mitigated and superior formability is represented.

Fatty acid reaction products of dextrins or dextran formulated with a surfactant

Compositions comprising a neutral surfactant or a reaction product thereof and a reaction product of a saccharide polymer and a fatty acid may be obtained in the presence of water and a hydroxide base (optionally in the presence of the neutral surfactant), the saccharide polymer comprising a dextran, a dextrin compound, or any combination thereof. The reaction product of the saccharide polymer and the fatty acid may be present at a concentration effective to lower surface tension of the neutral surfactant. Depending on the fatty acid identity, among other factors, the compositions may promote emulsification or de-emulsification. In addition, the compositions may promote foam formation under appropriate conditions. Treatment fluids comprising the compositions, including foamed treatment fluids, may be introduced into a subterranean formation to perform a treatment operation in which fluid emulsification or de-emulsification may occur. The reaction products may be incorporated in soaps and other personal care products.

A roll of cleaning fabric is used for cleaning printing cylinders of a printing system. The cleaning fabric (13) is impregnated with a cleaning composition containing an organic solvent and a cellulose solubilizer. The roll may be wound around a core (14) and inserted in a removable sealing bag (15) configured to seal around the roll (12) of cleaning fabric (13) in order to prevent the cleaning composition from evaporating before use.
