Glycerol acetal sulfate and sulfonates, which may be used in consumer products to provide surfactant properties.
Dispersant system for automatic dish washing formulations
An automatic dishwashing composition is provided, comprising: a dispersant polymer blend, comprising an acrylic acid homopolymer; and a copolymer of acrylic acid and a sulfonated monomer; wherein the dispersant polymer blend has a blend ratio of the acrylic acid homopolymer to the copolymer of 3:1 to 1:3; a surfactant; a builder; and optionally, an additive.
Cleaning compositions containing a polyetheramine
The present invention relates generally to cleaning compositions and, more specifically, to cleaning compositions containing a polyetheramine that is suitable for removal of stains from soiled materials.
Preparation of surfactants via cross-metathesis
The present invention relates to compositions comprising alkene benzenes or alkene benzene sulfonates or alkylbenzenes or alkylbenzene sulfonates; methods for making alkene benzenes or alkene benzene sulfonates or alkylbenzenes or alkylbenzene sulfonates; where the benzene ring is optionally substituted with one or more groups designated R*, where R* is defined herein. More particularly, the present invention relates to compositions comprising 2-phenyl linear alkene benzenes or 2-phenyl linear alkene benzene sulfonates or 2-phenyl linear alkylbenzenes or 2-phenyl linear alkylbenzene sulfonates; methods for making 2-phenyl alkene benzenes or 2-phenyl alkene benzene sulfonates or 2-phenyl alkylbenzenes or 2-phenyl alkylbenzene sulfonates; where the benzene ring is optionally substituted with one or more groups designated R*, where R* is defined herein. This invention also relates to compositions, methods of making, use of, and articles of manufacture comprising 2-ethoxylated hydroxymethylphenyl linear alkyl benzenes. This invention also relates to compositions, methods of making, use of, and articles of manufacture comprising 2-propoxylated hydroxymethylphenyl linear alkyl benzenes.
PROCESS OF MAKING A LIQUID CONDITIONING COMPOSITION
Processes for making a liquid conditioning composition, for example by using a first feedstock composition that includes perfume.
NON-CAUSTIC CLEANING COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF
Disclosed are detergent compositions and methods of cleaning articles and/or membranes using the surfactants herein. Compounds, compositions, and methods for using these compounds and compositions in detergent or cleaning compositions are also provided. These compounds, compositions, and methods are particularly directed to cleaning compositions and methods that have advantageous cleaning properties at a pH of 7 or less. In particular, the compounds, compositions, and methods described herein can also be used as general surfactants in detergent compositions or in methods of cleaning articles or membranes.
Alkoxylated Polycarboxylic Acid Amides
Alkoxylated polycarboxylic acid amides are provided obtainable by first reacting an aromatic polycarboxylic acid containing at least three carboxylic acid units or anhydrides derived therefrom, preferably an aromatic polycarboxylic acid containing three or four carboxylic acid units or anhydrides derived therefrom, more preferably an aromatic polycarboxylic acid containing three carboxylic acid units or anhydrides derived therefrom, even more preferably trimellitic acid or trimellitic acid anhydride, most preferably trimellitic acid anhydride, with an amine alkoxylate and in a second step reacting the resulting product with an alcohol or amine or a mixture of alcohols and/or amines, preferably with an alcohol.
Solid Fabric Care Compositions and Methods for the Same
Fabric care compositions and methods for preparing the fabric care composition and delivering increased fragrance intensity to a fabric are provided. The fabric care composition may include a water hydratable solid and capsules dispersed in the water hydratable solid. The water hydratable solid may include one or more water soluble polymers, such as a hydroxyalkyl cellulose polymer, one or more cationic polymers, such as a polyquat, and one or more starches. The capsules may include a fragrance encapsulated therein.
METHOD OF LAUNDERING FABRIC
The present invention relates to a method of laundering fabric which includes (a) contacting laundry detergent to water to form an aqueous wash liquor; (b) contacting fabric to the aqueous wash liquor, and washing the fabric in the aqueous wash liquor; (c) removing at least some of the aqueous wash liquor from the fabric, and rinsing the fabric with a first aqueous rinse solution in a first rinse step; (d) removing at least some of the first aqueous rinse solution from the fabric, and rinsing the fabric with a second aqueous rinse solution in a second rinse step; and (e) removing at least some of the second aqueous rinse solution from the fabric, wherein the first aqueous rinse solution is free from soil release polymer, and wherein the second aqueous rinse solution includes a soil release polymer that is a polyester soil release polymer.
SOIL REMOVAL ON COTTON VIA TREATMENT IN THE RINSE STEP FOR ENHANCED CLEANING IN THE SUBSEQUENT WASH
