HARD SURFACE CLEANING COMPOSITIONS
Cleaning compositions that include a non-functionalized alkyl polyglycoside, a nonionic surfactant system, and water. In certain embodiments, the cleaning compositions are substantially free of alkyl phenol ethoxylates. Additionally, some embodiments of the invention are substantially free of butyl cellosolve. The cleaning composition is capable of removing both proteinaceous food soils and hydrocarbon-based oily soils. The cleaning compositions include a biorenewable, environmentally friendly alternative to nonyl phenol ethoxylates and exhibit superior cleaning of food soils.
Hard surface cleaning compositions
Disclosed herein are hard surface cleaning compositions comprising, for example, a pH modifying agent in an amount sufficient to provide an alkaline pH; and a foaming system comprising: a nonionic ethoxylated/propoxylated surfactant; and a nonionic ethoxylated surfactant; wherein the concentration of the nonionic ethoxylated surfactant is greater than the concentration of the nonionic ethoxylated/propoxylated surfactant; and wherein the foaming system provides a structured network comprising a matrix having interstitial spaces. Methods of making and using these compositions are also described.
CONCENTRATED SURFACTANT SYSTEMS FOR RINSE AID AND OTHER APPLICATIONS
Surfactant systems and compositions incorporating the same are disclosed for use as cleaning compositions and rinse aid compositions. The solid surfactant systems are prilled, pastilled, flaked or granular solids and are incorporated into solid formulations at high concentrations for both improved performance and manufacturing benefits. The methods of using the solid compositions containing the surfactant systems for cleaning applications and rinse aid applications are also disclosed.
SURFACTANT AND DETERGENT CONTAINING SURFACTANT
A surfactant (a) having a critical micelle concentration (CMC) of 0.10 g/L or lower, represented by formula (1): R.sup.1[O-(A.sup.1O).sub.nH].sub.m (1), wherein R.sup.1 is a C7-C20 hydrocarbon group having a valence number of m; m is an integer of 2 to 6; A.sup.1 in (A.sup.1O).sub.n in each of [O-(A.sup.1O).sub.nH].sub.m is each independently a C2-C4 alkylene group; n in [O-(A.sup.1O).sub.nH].sub.m is each independently an integer of 1 to 100; and the sum of n in [O-(A.sup.1O).sub.nH].sub.m is 13 or greater.
Solidification process using low levels of coupler/hydrotrope
The invention includes a solid rinse aid that is particularly designed for extrusion solid formation and which is effective for creating spotless surfaces after rinsing. According to the invention, application has identified the critical combination of solid surfactants, coupling agents, hydrotrope, and hardening agents that is acceptable in the extrusion process to create a solid. The hydrotrope includes one or more short-chain alkylbenzene and/or alkyl naphthalene sulfonates. The composition hardens quickly but not so quick as to negatively impact the extrusion process. The compositions may also be used to form pressed or cast solids.
FABRIC-SCOURING COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF USE
A surfactant concentrate includes, based on the total weight of the concentrate, 5 to 40 weight percent of a surfactant of the formula R.sup.1(OCHCH.sub.2)OH wherein n has an average value from 3 to 15 and R.sup.1 is a combination of C.sub.12-14 alkyl having an average value of C.sub.13 or higher; 10 to 70 weight percent of a surfactant of the formula R.sup.2(OCHCH.sub.2).sub.mOH wherein m has an average value from 5 to 15 and R.sup.2 is a C.sub.13-18 alkyl or a combination of C.sub.13-18 alkyl; 1 to 20 weight percent of a cosolvent; and the remainder water. A scouring bath and method of scouring textile using the concentrate are also disclosed.
POLYSILOXANE-CONTAINING CONCENTRATES WITH IMPROVED STORAGE STABILITY AND USE THEREOF PREFERABLY IN TEXTILE CARE COMPOSITIONS
The invention relates to novel concentrates containing polysiloxanes having improved stability and improved performance properties and to the use thereof in laundry and cleaning formulations, preferably in fabric care compositions.
