Additive for incorporating ultraviolet radiation protection into a polymer
An additive for incorporating ultraviolet radiation protection into a synthetic polymer with the additive and the synthetic polymer for forming a synthetic material is disclosed which has a quantity of zinc oxide particles modified with a layer of a reactive group that forms a bond with a synthetic polymer having CH bonds. A product for incorporating ultraviolet radiation protection into a synthetic polymer prior to forming a synthetic material has a quantity of a synthetic polymer and a quantity of zinc oxide particles modified with a layer of a reactive group that forms a bond with the quantity of the synthetic polymer.
PHOSPHORIC ACID ESTERS, METHOD OF SYNTHETIZING THEM AND USE THEREOF AS DISPERSANTS
The invention concerns a phosphoric acid ester of Formula (I) or (II), wherein: A, B and R represents an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic and/ or aromatic moiety; Q represents CH.sub.2, O or COO; n+m is inferior to 3; and X+Y is less than 7, and wherein the phosphoric acid ester has an average molecular weight M.sub.n of 70 to 10,000 g/mol. The invention also concern the process for making the phosphoric acid ester of Formula (I) or (II), and there us as dispersants of particles in a liquid medium, such as water, solvent, plasticizer or resin. Advantageously, the process allows the preparation of new high performing polymeric phosphate esters with less acidic character that are majorly a phosphate diester. Also, a 100% active liquid solvent free polyester phosphate ester can be effectively prepared.

Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate containing detergent compositions
A detergent composition and a method of washing/cleaning urushiol at least partially, more typically substantially or completely off a surface of human skin or clothing. The detergent composition is typically a non-buffered composition that contains one or more C.sub.12 surfactants, typically at least a sodium lauroyl sarcosinate and the detergent composition is typically free of one or more of (1) any nonylphenol ethoxylate; (2) any pharmaceutically active drug or prodrug; (3) any salt in an amount that affects the functional characteristics of either of the solely C.sub.12 surfactants; (4) any salt in granular form; and/or (5) any ethoxylate that is a stand-alone ingredient.
Intercalated bleach compositions, related methods of manufacture and use
The invention relates to compositions, methods of use, and methods of manufacture for an intercalated bleach compound and compositions thereof. The intercalated bleach compound has the formula M.sub.x(OCl).sub.y(O).sub.m(OH).sub.n where M is an alkaline earth metal such as magnesium, calcium or mixture thereof. The values of x and y independently equal any number greater than or equal to 1 (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.), and m and n independently equal any number greater than or equal to 0 (e.g., 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.), but m and n are not both 0. In addition, the molar ratio of the alkaline earth metal (e.g., magnesium or calcium) to hypochlorite is at least 3:1. In other words, x is 3y. The compounds exhibit excellent stability, little or no chlorine bleach odor, exhibit excellent pH buffering characteristics, and less reactivity with organic materials as compared to alternative chlorine bleach products.
ODOR REMOVAL, STAIN REMOVAL, AND SURFACE CLEANING COMPOSITION
A composition for odor removal, stain removal, and surface cleaning containing Lavender Fabuloso?, Gain? Ultra Clean, white vinegar, bleach, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide. The composition may also contain ethyl alcohol 70% and one or more essential oils. The composition is contained, preferably in a sprayer. The composition is easily and rapidly sprayed from the sprayer onto walls, floors, ceilings, and counter tops to produce a sustained elimination of odors. The composition readily removes stains, dirt, and grease from surfaces. The composition also produces sustained antimicrobial effects.
METHOD FOR INCORPORATING ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION PROTECTION AND ANTIMICROBIAL PROTECTION INTO RAYON
A method for incorporating ultraviolet radiation protection and antimicrobial protection into rayon is disclosed which has the steps of providing pulp to form cellulose sheets, steeping the cellulose sheets, pressing the cellulose sheets, shredding the cellulose sheets into white crumb, aging the white crumb to form yellow crumb, xanthation of the yellow crumb, dissolving the yellow crumb to form a viscose, adding an additive to the viscose, ripening the viscose, filtering the viscose, degassing the viscose, spinning the viscose to form a fine filament of rayon, drawing the rayon, washing the rayon, and cutting the rayon.
Compositions and methods for forming stable, liquid metal oxide/hydroxide formulations
Dry mixtures and liquid formulations are provided that comprise metal oxide and/or metal hydroxide nanocrystalline particles. The dry mixtures are advantageously formulated with select surfactants to be readily solubilized and stable in liquid carriers. Additional select components are provided in preferred combinations that are capable of achieving improved biocidal and chemical agent efficacy. Notably, the inventive formulations provided herein allow for easier delivery of the formulations and increased shelf stability.
Decontamination Compositions and Methods of Decontamination
Decontamination compositions are described. The decontamination composition comprises an aqueous solution of a water soluble cerium salt or a dispersion of cerium oxide in water. The decontamination composition may optionally include at least one of an oxidizer, a surfactant, a co-solvent, a chelating agent, and a polymer. Methods of decontaminating clothing are also described.
Endoscope cleaning with viscoelastic liquid
The invention relates to compositions and methods for reducing biocontaminant (for example flesh, blood, mucous, faeces or biofilm) on a surface, such as an endoscope surface. The compositions are viscoelastic and of low lubricity, having the following properties at 21? C.: a rotational yield point between 140% strain and 300% strain; a peak viscosity between 550 Pa.Math.s and 2000 Pa.Math.s; an oscillatory flow point between 250 and 700% strain; and a coefficient of friction ? which has a maximum value (preferably 0.06 or greater) in the viscoelastic liquid's elastohydrodynamic region.
