Described herein are cleaning compositions comprising fermented fruit solutions and builders, methods for making the same, and methods for using the same. The fermented fruit solutions can contain fruit, sugar and water. The builder can be selected from the group consisting of a non-phosphate builder, such as sodium citrate and sodium bicarbonate, boric acid and mixtures thereof. The cleaning compositions can be used to clean articles, launder articles, clean stains from articles, and clean surfaces.

The invention relates to surfactants of general formula (I) in which R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 represent independently of one another represent H and SO.sub.3.sup.X+ with the proviso that at least one of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is not H, n and m represent independently from each other numbers from 0-21 under the proviso that 4<n+m<26, and X.sup.+ represents a charge-balancing anion. The surfactants can be incorporated into detergents or cleaning agents, have excellent technological application properties and can be produced based on renewable raw materials.

Disclosed herein is a cold-processable antimicrobial composition in non-dusting solid form, free from toxic antimicrobial comprising, a) N-capryloyl glycine (Formula I), b) N-undecylenoyl glycine (Formula II), c) benzoic acid (Formula III) and d) sodium dehydroacetate (Formula IV) for use in personal care and home care products. The invention further discloses a process for preparation of the antimicrobial composition and ease of its incorporation in various personal and home products.

A method of applying a contact lens to an eye of a subject can include: applying an ophthalmic composition to the contact lens, wherein the ophthalmic composition includes a colorant that temporarily colorizes the contact lens; and positioning the colorized contact lens onto a correct position of the eye while visualizing the colorized contact lens. A method of removing a contact lens from an eye of a subject can include: applying an ophthalmic composition to the contact lens while located on the eye of the subject, wherein the ophthalmic composition includes a colorant that temporarily colorizes the contact lens; and removing the colorized contact lens from the eye while visualizing the colorized contact lens.

The present invention relates to the field of perfumery and more particularly to the field of malodor counteractancy. In particular, it relates to the use of glycerol carbonate or glycerol carbonate derivatives to neutralize the odor from ammonia and primary or secondary amines. Perfuming compositions and perfuming consumer products comprising those malodour neutralizers are also objects of the invention.

Detergents or cleansers may include at least one quinone oxidoreductase, an NAD(P)H cofactor, and a first substrate for the quinone oxidoreductase. The quinone oxidoreductase may be spatially separated from the NAD(P)H cofactor and/or first substrate. The detergent or cleanser may also include at least one inhibitor of the quinone oxidoreductase. A method for washing textiles or automatic dishwashing using this detergent or cleanser is also disclosed.

The present invention relates to a polish remover formulation. The present invention more specifically focuses on the use of a blend of glycerol ketals and/or acetals in polish remover formulations, notably for promoting the polish removing performances.

A viscoelastic solid surfactant composition for textile treatment having, based on the total weight thereof, (i) a total amount of 30 to 70 wt % of at least one surfactant, wherein at least one anionic surfactant and at least one non-ionic surfactant are present, and (ii) a total amount of 0.01 to 1 wt % of at least one organic gelating compound having a molar mass <1,000 g/mol, a solubility in water of less than 0.1 g/l (20 C.) and a structure including at least one hydrocarbon structural unit having 6 to 20 carbon atoms and additionally an organic structural unit covalently bonded to the aforementioned hydrocarbon unit, which organic structural unit has at least two groups selected from OH, NH or mixtures thereof, and (iii) water, represents a readily soluble, aesthetically appealing and storage-stable form of a solid composition for preparing washing liquor including surfactant.

A portion including at least one chamber having a wall made of water-soluble material, wherein the portion includes a composition which based on the total weight of the composition contains a total amount of 0.1% to 80% by weight of at least one surfactant. Wherein the composition includes at least two phases, wherein a) a first phase is a granular mixture of a solid-state composition and b) a second phase is in the form of a viscoelastic, solid-state molding of a second composition which based on the total weight of the second composition contains a total amount of more than 1% by weight of at least one benzylidene alditol compound of formula (I). Wherein *, n, m, R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are defined as storage-stable, aesthetic and releases the composition contained therein rapidly and effectively to provide a surfactant-containing liquor.

A viscoelastic, solid surfactant composition, containing, (i) a total amount of 0.1 to 70 wt % of at least one surfactant, (ii) a total amount of more than 1 wt % of at least one benzylidene alditol compound of formula (I), and (iii) water, is a readily soluble, aesthetically pleasing and storage-stable form of a solid composition for providing surfactant-containing liquors.
