DETERGENT COMPOSITION
The present invention is directed toward a detergent composition including (a) in total in the range of from 4.0% to 25.0% by weight of at least one organic chelating agent selected from methyl glycine diacetic acid (MGDA), glutamic acid diacetic acid (GLDA), the alkali metal salts of methyl glycine diacetic acid (MGDA) and glutamic acid diacetic acid (GLDA), referring to the total solids content of the respective detergent composition, and (b) at least one enzyme selected from proteases. The present invention is also directed toward the use of the detergent composition for laundry care and for automatic dishwashing, and to a process for manufacture of the detergent compositions.
SOLUTIONS OF TRIALKALI METAL SALTS OF AMINOCARBOXYLIC ACIDS, THEIR MANUFACTURE AND USE
Aqueous solution containing in the range of from 60.5 to 75% by weight of a mixture of trialkalimetal salts of the L- and D-enantiomers of methyl glycine diacetic acid (MGDA), said mixture containing predominantly the respective L-isomer with an enantiomeric excess (ee) in the range of from 3 to 97%, wherein said trialkali metal salts have the general formula (I) [CH.sub.3—CH(COO)—N(CH.sub.2—COO).sub.2]K.sub.3-xNa.sub.x (I) wherein x is in the range of from zero to 2.9.

STAIN REMOVAL THROUGH NOVEL OXIDIZER AND CHELANT COMBINATION
The present invention relates to a detergent composition comprising alkali metal carbonate, a chelant selected from the group consisting of MGDA, alkali metal tripolyphosphate, GLDA, and mixtures thereof, alkali metal percarbonate, and a peroxidation catalyst, wherein the molar ratio of chelant to alkali metal percarbonate is in the range of 1.8 to 3.4. The detergent composition is particularly suited for the removal of tea and coffee stains.
