Disclosed is a fragrance adduct that is a reaction product between a polymeric amine and a reactive fragrance ingredient. The polymeric amine contains a backbone and at least one amino functional group, the reactive fragrance ingredient is an aldehyde, a ketone, an ,-unsaturated electrophilic compound reactive towards the polymeric amine, or a combination thereof, and the reaction product is an imine compound or a Michael addition adduct. The fragrance adduct can be formulated into a fragrance composition, household product, personal care product, hair care product, or beauty care product. Also disclosed is a method for sequestering a fragrance using the fragrance adduct.

Personal care products are provided. An exemplary personal care product includes a composition that is applied to the body or clothing, or an article applied against the body; a plurality of particles associated with the composition or a component of the article, the plurality of particles, at least some of the plurality of particles comprising a cyclodextrin complexing material and a first fragrance material, wherein the percent of the first fragrance material that is complexed with the cyclodextrin is greater than about 90%, so that the perceptibility of the first fragrance is minimized prior to its release; and a second fragrance material that is not complexed with the cyclodextrin and that is different from the first fragrance material, wherein the composition or article does not contain an antiperspirant active.

Personal care products are provided. An exemplary personal care product includes a composition that is applied to the body or clothing, or an article applied against the body; a plurality of particles associated with the composition or a component of the article, the plurality of particles, at least some of the plurality of particles comprising a cyclodextrin complexing material and a first fragrance material, wherein the percent of the first fragrance material that is complexed with the cyclodextrin is greater than about 90%, so that the perceptibility of the first fragrance is minimized prior to its release; and a second fragrance material that is not complexed with the cyclodextrin and that is different from the first fragrance material, wherein the composition or article does not contain an antiperspirant active.

The present application relates to novel whitening agents for cellulosic substrates. The whitening agents are comprised of at least two constituents: at least one chromophore constituent and at least one polymeric constituent. Suitable chromophore components generally fluoresce blue, red, violet, or purple color when exposed to light, or they may absorb light to reflect these same shades. The whitening agents are further characterized by the polymeric component comprising at least two repeating glycerol units. This disclosure also relates to laundry care compositions including but not limited to liquid and/or powder laundry detergent formulations and rinse added fabric softening (RAFS) compositions that comprise such whitening agents.

The present invention relates to the field of perfumery. More particularly, it concerns compounds comprising at least one -glucuronide moiety capable of liberating a perfuming alcohol. The present invention concerns also the use of said compounds in perfumery as well as the perfuming compositions or perfumed articles, in particular deodorants or antiperspirants comprising the invention's compounds.

A method of providing a fragrant odour to an application, comprising the addition thereto of at least one compound of the formula I ##STR00001##
wherein X and Y are independently selected from the group consisting of CR.sup.1R.sup.2R.sup.3, NR.sup.4R.sup.5 and OR.sup.6, wherein R.sup.1 to R.sup.5 are selected from H and essentially hydrocarbon moieties that optionally comprise at least one oxygen, nitrogen or silicon atom, and R.sup.6 is selected from essentially hydrocarbon moieties that optionally comprise at least one oxygen, nitrogen or silicon atom; and, A is an essentially hydrocarbon moiety that optionally comprises at least one oxygen, sulphur, nitrogen or silicon atom, with the proviso that the compound A-CHO is a fragrant aldehyde. The use of these compounds in laundry, household and personal care products confers a long-lasting freshness.

The invention relates to a composition of (a) a selected amino alcohol compound of general formula (I), (b) a scent aldehyde and/or scent ketone, and (c) a selected silicic acid ester, to the use of same as a pro-scent, as well as to washing and cleaning agents, fabric softeners and cosmetics which contain these. The invention also relates to a method for prolonging the perception of scent in such agents, and to a method for removing malodors by applying said composition. ##STR00001##

Described herein is a fragrance delivery system including a perfume oil and a carrier material, where the perfume oil includes at least one pro-perfume compound and where the perfume oil is dispersed in or absorbed within the carrier material. Also described herein are compositions and perfumed products including the same.

The present invention relates to a composition comprising: at least one composition for home care, and at least one solid microcapsule having an average diameter of between 1 m and 30 m, comprising a core consisting of a composition C1 comprising at least one perfuming agent, and a solid shell of crosslinked polymer totally encapsulating the core at its periphery, said solid shell comprising a crosslinked polymer obtained by polymerization of at least one monomer or polymer bearing at least one reactive function selected from the group consisting of acrylate, methacrylate, vinyl ether, N-vinyl ether, vinyl ester, thiolene, maleate, epoxy, siloxane, amine, lactone, phosphate and carboxylate functions, and wherein the thickness of the soli shell is between 0.1 m and 20 m.
