VAPOR PHASE SOLVENT PLATING MASK REMOVER
20240360390 · 2024-10-31 ·

Manufacturers, particularly manufacturers of parts for aerospace applications, may use a plating mask to mask parts when plating. Plating masks may be used to mask a metallic part during etching and plating. After etching and plating, the plating mask needs to be removed. The present disclosure describes a solvent blend for removing a plating mask that comprises a co-solvent and a vapor phase cleaning solvent, wherein the co-solvent has a higher boiling point than the vapor phase cleaning solvent. In some embodiments, the co-solvent comprises isopropyl myristate. In some embodiments, the vapor phase cleaning solvent comprises a mixture of trans-1,2-dichloroethylene and hydrofluoroether.

NON-AQUEOUS CLEANER FOR VEGETABLE OIL SOILS

The invention discloses cleaning compositions which employ a synergistic combination of a ester solvent, preferably a fatty acid methyl ester in combination with one or more linear alkyl amines. The alkyl amines act as to remove and suspend organic oils which have been burnt or adhered to a surface with heat and may even be used alone as a soil removal agent. The cleaning compositions have particular use in cleaning of distillation towers associated with biofuel, and vegetable oil refining, but also find use in cleaning ovens, food cooking surfaces and even dry cleaning.

Method of cleaning with enhanced bacteriostatic action using a composition of alcohol and lactate esters

A mixture of ethanol and lactate esters have enhanced cleaning properties for food and biological processing applications and this mixture retains bacteriostatic properties during the cleaning process as well as in the used cleaning solutions after rinsing and dilution with water.

Polyol esters of metathesized fatty acids are generally disclosed herein. Methods of using such compounds, for example, as cleaning agents, solvents, and coalescents for paints and coatings, are also disclosed.

UNIQUE OIL AS A SERVICE EVENT

A method of performing a cleanup service on an internal combustion engine. The method involves draining used fleet oil from the engine, filling the engine with cleanup oil, draining the cleanup oil after an operation interval, and filling the engine with fresh fleet oil. The method can be performed as a remedial measure for an engine already exhibiting high oil consumption, or as a preventative measure on a healthy engine.

Use of compositions comprising a solvent mixture for avoiding pattern collapse when treating patterned materials with line-space dimensions of 50 nm or below

The invention relates to the use of a composition comprising a C.sub.1 to C.sub.6 alkanol and a carboxylic acid ester of formula (I) wherein R.sup.1 is selected from a C.sub.1 to C.sub.6 alkyl, which may be unsubstituted or substituted by OH or F, and X.sup.21[OX.sup.22].sub.nH; R.sup.2 is selected from a C.sub.1 to C.sub.6 alkyl, which may be unsubstituted or substituted by OH or F, and X.sup.21[OX.sup.22].sub.nH; X.sup.21, X.sup.22 are independently selected from C.sub.1 to C.sub.6 alkandiyl, which may be unsubstituted or substituted by OH or F; n is an integer from 1 to 5. wherein, the C.sub.1 to C.sub.6 alkanol and the carboxylic acid ester are selected so as to form an azeotropic mixture and are present in an amount from 20% by weight below to 20% by weight above such azeotropic mixture.

CLEANING AND/OR TREATMENT COMPOSITIONS

The invention relates to cleaning and/or treatment compositions comprising tannins and methods of making and using same. Such cleaning and/or treatment compositions can mitigate/neutralize malodors without imparting color to an article that is treated with such cleaning and/or treatment composite. In addition, such the appearance of such compositions is not adversely impacted by the tannins that they contain.
