Material and hardware to automatically clean flexible electronic web rolls

Novel materials and devices can remove small defects from long rolls of flexible electronics material while they are in continuous motion. The cleaning materials are designed to remove small particles without transferring defects or damaging the flexible electronics. The device generally consists of variable speed, motor-driven cylinders mounted on moveable brackets. The cylinders are capable of matching the speed of the cleaning material such that the cleaning material is always in contact with the web roll to be cleaned. The brackets are capable of rotating so the same material can be used more than once. Another material is used to remove debris from the cleaning material. A similar device consisting of motor-driven cylinders and moveable is used to apply the debris removal film to the cleaning film, allowing the cleaning film to be used multiple times.

Agent, liquid, and method for cleaning reverse osmosis membrane

Provided is an agent and a liquid for cleaning an RO membrane to remove effectively foulants that can not be sufficiently removed with conventional cleaning agents when an RO membrane particularly an aromatic polyamide RO membrane has been used for water treatment and has become fouled resulting in degradation of performance such as permeation flux, pressure difference, and salt rejection rate. The agent for cleaning an RO membrane includes an aliphatic amide and/or an aromatic amide. Also provided is a method for cleaning an RO membrane with the cleaning agent or the cleaning liquid. The aliphatic amide and/or the aromatic amide particularly an aliphatic amide and/or an aromatic amide being soluble in water and having a relatively low molecular weight remove effectively foulants adhered on an aromatic polyamide RO membrane.

MODERATELY ALKALINE CLEANING COMPOSITIONS FOR PROTEINACEOUS AND FATTY SOIL REMOVAL AT LOW TEMPERATURES

The present invention comprises chlorinated and non-chlorinated alkaline cleaning compositions for removal of proteinaceous and fatty soils at low temperature, i.e. less than 120 F., with little or no deleterious affect on cleaning performance. According to the invention, applicants have found that adding additional alkalinity makes protein removal more difficult and reducing the amount of alkalinity actually improves performance. According to the invention optimized combinations of chlorine and alkalinity components for low temperature cleaning as well as a surfactant system optimized for low temperature fatty soil removal are disclosed.

Sulfoxide/glycol ether based solvents for use in the electronics industry

Solvents useful for removing, among other things, photoresists and poly(amic acid)/polyimide from display/semiconductor substrates or electronic processing equipment, consist essentially of: (A) a first component consisting of a sulfoxide, e.g., DMSO; (B) a second component consisting of a glycol ether, e.g., ethylene glycol monobutyl ether; and (C) a third component consisting of at least one of N-formyl morpholine, N,N-dimethyl propionamide, 3-methoxy-N,N-dimethyl propanamide, triethyl phosphate, N,N-dimethyl acetamide; N,N-diethyl acetamide, N,N-diethyl propionamide, N-methyl acetamide, N-methyl propionamide, N-ethyl acetamide, and N-ethyl propionamide.
