The user console includes a seat and a first adjustable, ergonomic arm support linkage coupled to the seat, in which the first arm support linkage is movable between a folded storage configuration and at least one unfolded use configuration corresponding to at least one of a user characteristic and a surgical task characteristic. The at least one unfolded use configuration may be pre-stored in a database.

User console system for robotic surgery

A user console for controlling a remote surgical robotic instrument may include an adjustable ergonomic seat assembly comprising a seat pan, where the seat assembly is configurable between a seated configuration and an elevated configuration, and where the seat pan has a higher anteverted position in the elevated configuration than in the seated configuration. The user console may further include a display configured to receive real time surgical information, and one or more controls for remotely controlling the robotic instrument. The display and/or the one or more controls may have multiple positions and change position automatically according to a seating profile associated with at least one user.

Surgical stapler including a replaceable staple cartridge

A surgical stapling instrument including a staple sled which can be advanced and/or retracted relative to first and second jaw members, wherein the staple sled can be configured to deploy staples from a staple cartridge in one of the first and second jaw members. In at least one embodiment, the other of the first and second jaw members can include an anvil having at least one forming surface which can be configured to deform the staples as they are deployed from the staple cartridge. In at least one form of the invention, the anvil can be movably adjustable relative to the staple cartridge in order to adjust the distance in which the staples are deformed. In various embodiments, the anvil can be adjusted by a slidable adjusting plate and/or a rotatable cam.

AMBIDEXTROUS STRESS-REDUCING GLOVE

An ambidextrous stress-reducing polymeric glove, comprising: a thumb having a palmside surface and a backhand surface; a plurality of fingers that includes an index finger, a middle finger, a ring finger, and a little finger, each of the plurality of fingers having a palmside surface and a backhand surface; a palm region; a backhand region; and a stress-reducing ridge on at least one of: the backhand surface of the thumb and the palmside surface of the thumb, the backhand surface of the index finger and the palmside surface of the index finger, the backhand surface of the middle finger and the palmside surface of the middle finger, the backhand surface of the ring finger and the palmside surface of the ring finger, the backhand surface of the little finger and the palmside surface of the little finger, or the palm region and the backhand region.

SURGICAL INSTRUMENT WITH MULTI-FUNCTION BUTTON

An ultrasonic instrument includes a body, an actuation assembly, a shaft assembly, and an end effector. The actuation assembly includes an activation member that is operable to move in a first direction to select a mode of operation. The shaft assembly extends distally from the body and includes an acoustic waveguide. The end effector includes an ultrasonic blade that is in acoustic communication with the acoustic waveguide. The activation member is operable to move in a second direction to activate the end effector in a mode of operation selected by movement of the activation member in the first direction.

FIRING LEVER ASSEMBLY FOR LINEAR SURGICAL STAPLER

A handle assembly includes two arms and a latching lever. An end effector includes two jaws. A firing assembly includes an actuating beam, a proximal body, and two levers. The actuating beam is slidable relative to the handle assembly and the end effector. The proximal body is coupled to the actuating beam and is housed within either the first arm or the second arm. The first lever is configured to move between a first laterally extending position and a first non-obtrusive position. The first lever is configured to drive the actuating beam and the proximal body relative to the handle assembly in the first laterally extending position. The second lever is configured to move between a second laterally extending position and a second non-obtrusive position. The second lever is configured to drive the actuating beam and the proximal body relative to the handle assembly in the second laterally extending position.

Surgical instrument

A surgical instrument (10, 100) configured to facilitate gripping and manual adjustment by a left-handed or righted-handed user. The surgical instrument includes a rod (11) having a first end (12a) attachable to a working end (13, 113) of the instrument via a mount (16). The rod has a second end (12b) coupled to a handle (14) having rotational directionality for gripping by a first hand of the user. The handle is rotatable about the rod so as to allow the user to adjust an angular displacement of the user's finger relative to the working end, and a locking member (20, 146) prevents rotation of the handle relative to the rod when the beveled indent is optimally located relative to the working end.

AMBIDEXTROUS LOCKING CLAMP SYSTEM
20190209191 · 2019-07-11 ·

An ambidextrous locking clamp system for providing a user the ability to use the right or left hand to engage and disengage a ratcheting means on the clamp. The clamp includes hingedly connected first and second elongated members each with a finger engaging member, a working head, and a latching member featuring ratcheting teeth. The teeth are engaged by moving the finger engaging members toward each other in an engaging motion, and are disengaged by sliding them in a disengaging motion perpendicular to the engaging motion with opposing force applied to the finger engaging members. One of the elongated members includes a planar portion that is rotatably received in a slot defined in a female portion of the other elongated member. The planar portion can include a wedge that contacts a side of the female portion that defines the slot when the clamp is in a closed position.

Electronic Switch Mechanism

A switch mechanism includes a housing with a fenestration, a switch element held in the housing, and a first tab and a second tab each being pivotally attached to an opposite lateral edge of the fenestration. The tabs are constrained to rotational movement relative to the housing so that contact with the first tab or the second tab causes the respective tab to rotate to actuate the switch element.
