The inventive technology includes novel systems, method and compositions for the identification and classification of host-derived RNA biomarkers produced in response to an infection.

Cell-free nucleic acids for the analysis of the human microbiome and components thereof

Methods, devices, compositions and kits are provided for analysis of the microbiome or individual components thereof in an individual. The methods find use in a determination of infection, in analysis of the microbiome structure, in determining the immunocompetence of an individual, and the like. In some embodiments of the invention, the individual is treated with an therapeutic regimen, e.g. drugs, diet, radiation therapy, and the like.

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR AMPLIFYING, DETECTING OR QUANTIFYING HUMAN CYTOMEGALOVIRUS

Oligomer nucleotides, compositions, methods, kits, and uses are provided for detecting or quantifying a Human Cytomegalovirus virus 1 (CMV (human herpesvirus 5, HHV5) nucleic acid, e.g., using nucleic acid amplification and hybridization assays. Multiphase amplification of a CMV target sequence is also described. The oligomer nucleotides, compositions, methods, kits, and uses can be used to amplify and/or detect the UL56 gene of CMV.

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING NUCLEIC ACIDS OF EPSTEIN-BARR VIRUS
20210332449 · 2021-10-28 ·

Disclosed are compositions, methods, and kits that can be used to Epstein-Ban virus (EBV) in a sample undergoing testing. Nucleic acids of EBV can be isolated, amplified and detected with specificity by real-time PCR, and without interference from non-EBV organisms. In some embodiments, nucleic acids used for amplification are isolated from human blood, or blood products. Nucleic acid isolation, amplification and detection steps can all be carried out using an automated instrument.

METHODS, KITS, AND PRODUCTS FOR DETECTION OF CYTOMEGALOVIRUS INFECTION
20210324488 · 2021-10-21 ·

Methods of determining a presence of active primary cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection are described herein. The methods can include determining a presence or absence of anti-CMV IgG in a sample of a subject. The methods can include determining a presence or absence of CMV nucleic acids in a subsequent sample of the subject. Kits and product combinations useful for performing the methods are also described.

Methods and compositions for human papillomaviruses and sexually transmitted infections detection, identification and quantification

The present disclosure relates to compositions and methods for detection, identification and quantification of human papillomaviruses (HPV) and clinically significant sexually transmitted infections (STI) in a single amplification reaction. The disclosed method utilizes next-generation sequencing (NGS) to sequence amplified products. The present disclosure is also directed to kits containing primers specific to multiple HPV and STI targets.
