An assembly comprising a drive gear coupled to a shaft and a dial. The drive gear is configured to rotate along a first axis based on movement of the dial. The assembly includes a first linking member located along a second axis and configured to rotate about the second axis based on contact with the drive gear as the drive gear is rotated. The assembly includes a second linking member located along the second axis and configured to rotate about the second axis based on rotation of the drive gear and a coupling between the first linking member and the second linking member. The assembly includes a linking member selector configured to rotate about the first axis and for selecting at least a position corresponding to the first linking member that causes the coupling between the first linking member and the second linking member.

Robot-mounted retractor system

A retractor mounting assembly including an end-effector having a body extending between first and second faces. The first face is configured for attachment to an interface plate on the robotic arm of a surgical robot. The second face defines an arm mount. An arm extending between first and second ends with the first end configured for attachment to the end-effector arm mount and the second end providing a retractor mount configured for supportive attachment of a retractor.

A system for correcting a lateral curvature of a spine that can include a plurality of screws configured to be implanted in a plurality of vertebrae, and a plurality of extensions configured to be removably coupled with the plurality of screws. Some embodiments of the plurality of extensions can be curved, bent, angled, and/or offset along at least a portion thereof and can be removably coupled with a screw head of each of the plurality of screws. The system can include a connecting element or rod that is configured to be coupled with the plurality of screw heads. Some embodiments of the system can be configured such that the rod can be guided along the plurality of extensions from the proximal toward the distal end portions of the extensions and into engagement with the plurality of screws to cause the plurality of vertebrae to move laterally.

Implantable devices and techniques for oncoplastic surgery

Described herein are devices for placement in surgically created soft tissue spaces, potential spaces, or cavities. The implantable devices generally include a bioabsorbable body having an open framework that facilitates attachment of tissue thereto in a manner that helps avoid post-surgical deformities. Methods for using the implantable devices in oncoplastic surgery are further described.
