TISSUE RETRACTION DEVICE AND DELIVERY SYSTEM
Medical devices and methods of using medical devices are disclosed. An example tissue retraction device includes a first tissue engagement member coupled to an elastic member by a coupling assembly. The coupling assembly including a first coupler body having a first end region and a first compression member. Further, the first end region of the first coupler body is configured to extend into a portion of a lumen of the elastic member and the compression member is designed to compress the elastic member onto the first coupler body such that the elastic member is fixedly engaged with the coupler body.
Retractor system with tethered surgical retractor
A retractor system for securing surgical retractors includes an elastic tether and a cleat. The elastic tether has an elongated side and a predetermined diameter. The cleat includes a base, a head, and a shaft. The base includes an upper surface with a first row of teeth. The head is coupled to the base via the shaft. The head includes a lower surface with a second row of teeth. The first row of teeth are opposite the second row of teeth by less than the predetermined diameter of the tether and are configured to receive and compress the elongated side of the tether. Each tooth of the first row of teeth includes a first gripping surface that extends away from the shaft. Each tooth of the second row of teeth includes a second gripping surface that extends away from the shaft and that is parallel to the first gripping surface of a directly opposite tooth of the first row of teeth.
TISSUE RETRACTION DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a tissue traction device, e.g., for endoscopic tissue dissection. For example, a tissue traction device may include a first clip comprising opposable jaws. The device may include a traction band having a first end, a second end, a length therebetween and extending along a longitudinal axis. The band may have a first aperture at the first end. A second aperture may be at the second end of the band. A first jaw of the opposable jaws of the first clip may be disposed through the first aperture.
ANVIL ASSEMBLIES WITH COLLAPSIBLE FRAMES FOR CIRCULAR STAPLERS
Circular stapling instruments and anvil assemblies. The anvil assemblies may have collapsible anvil support members that may be inserted through an opening in a patient and then expanded to be attached to an anvil plate assembly that has a staple-forming surface thereon. The anvil support member is attachable to the anvil plate assembly in such a way that when the anvil assembly is coupled to the stapling head of a circular stapler, the staple-forming surface is in substantial registry with the staples supported in the stapling head. A variety of different anvil support members and anvil plate assemblies are disclosed.
Surgical bowel retractor devices
A bowel retractor device comprising a flexible endless collar member, a plurality of discrete first flexible fingers, and a plurality of discrete second flexible fingers is disclosed. The flexible endless collar member comprises an inner wall that defines a central open area. The plurality of discrete first flexible fingers protrude from a first portion of the inner wall. The discrete first flexible fingers are spaced from each other to define a first space therebetween. The plurality of discrete second flexible fingers protrude from a second portion of the inner wall that faces the first portion of the inner wall. Each discrete second flexible finger comprises a second end that extends into a corresponding first space. At least one of the discrete first flexible fingers and at least one of the discrete second flexible fingers each comprise a ball-shaped feature formed on an end thereof.
Hook and fenestration retractor
A surgical device for retraction of a body part is disclosed. The surgical device comprises an anchor at each end of the surgical device; an elongate body comprising a plurality of fenestrations along a body length wherein each fenestration is sized to receive at least part of one of the anchors; and a stopper preventing a tail end of the device being pulled through any of the plurality of fenestrations. The surgical device may also comprise additional features such as, the elongate body being sufficiently flexible to fold back or partly fold back on itself and the lead anchor and tail anchor being oriented in the same direction. Also provided is a method of manufacturing the surgical device; a method for inserting the surgical device; and a kit comprising the surgical device.
MULTIFUNCTION QUICK CONNECT SOCKET FOR SURGICAL RETRACTION TOOLS
A surgical stabilizer arm ends with a hybrid quick connect mechanism capable of holding tissue manipulator tools of either the ball type or the shaft type. The single integrated mechanism allows users to choose the type of attachment mechanism they prefer on a case-by-case basis. The mechanism has a spring-loaded sleeve that can be pulled back to enable an attachment (manipulator tool) to be inserted. A ball-style attachment is inserted through an opening in a grip cage, and a shaft-style attachment is inserted into an actuator (e.g., spring detent) through the claws of the grip cage. When the sleeve is released, a compression spring pushed the actuator forward, either pressing the ball attachment against the grip cage or pressing the spring detent against the shaft attachment to partially lock the attachment in place. Tightening a tension cable increases the pressure to fully lock the attachment in place.
Method and apparatus for retention of adipose tissue
A tissue retention system to assist in maintaining adipose tissue on a patient in a displaced position during a medical procedure to provide access to a body region of the patient includes an anchor pad having a pad length and a pad width. The anchor pad may include a pad body with an adhesive surface thereon, the adhesive being configured to adhere to a patient's skin. The anchor pad also may include an opposing first attachment surface facing away from the adhesive surface. The tissue retention system also may include a tension member having a second attachment surface.
Tissue retraction system for performing minimally invasive procedures
A system for performing minimally invasive procedures in a body lumen may include a flexible catheter having a plurality of lumens including a main lumen configured to receive an endoscope and at least one tool lumen; a first working instrument slidably disposed within a first tool lumen of the at least one tool lumen; a plurality of support elements disposed at a distal end of the catheter, the plurality of support elements being configured to shift between delivery and expanded configurations, wherein in the expanded configuration, the plurality of support elements forms an expanded cage to reshape the body lumen and form a working space; wherein at least one of the plurality of support elements is a tubular shaft having an opening proximate the working space; and a filament extending through the tubular shaft to a clip disposed outside the opening, the clip being manipulatable by the first working instrument.
