A gastrointestinal tissue approximation clip (“GI TAC”) system for approximating tissue defects, the GI TAC system including an applicator that is sized to travel through an instrument channel of an endoscope; a plurality of tissue approximation clips that are transported to a plurality of locations about a tissue defect by the applicator; a suture coupled to at least one of the tissue approximation clips; and a clip approximation means for approximating the tissue approximation clips. The clip approximation means and the tissue approximation clips are sized respectively to travel through the instrument channel, and the tissue approximation clips are adapted to be detachably coupled to the applicator.

Hair grasping device

A hair grasping device comprising a handle and a grasping mechanism on an end of the handle. The grasping mechanism includes a finger having a handle end and a grasping end and a hair grip extending from the grasping end of the finger. The hair grip and the finger are moveable with respect to one another between a hair grasping position and a hair holding position and the hair grip is operably coupled with the finger when in the hair holding position.

Device for reducing the retraction of a fascia or a soft-tissue mantle in an open soft-tissue defect
11191534 · 2021-12-07 · ·

A device for reducing retraction of edges of an opened fascia of a patient having an open soft-tissue defect. The device includes a holding element and an attachment element. The holding element is configured to be fixed with respect to the patient at a first distance from the patient. The attachment element has a plurality of attachment points configured for attaching tensioning means, which is configured to be connected to an edge of the fascia. The attachment element being connected to the holding element so as to be arranged at a second distance from the patient, which is less than the first distance. The attachment element is connected to the holding element via exactly one tensile force transmission element.

DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR TREATING THE LEFT ATRIAL APPENDAGE
20210369284 · 2021-12-02 ·

Disclosed are embodiments of a method for occluding a left atrial appendage (LAA) and other cavities or openings within a body. Some embodiments of the method can include an implant configured to be deployed within the LAA or other cavity, configured to be expanded or moved against a wall portion of the LAA or other cavity, and configured to twist at least a portion of the LAA or other cavity when the implant is rotated. Thereafter, one or more securing elements, staples, sutures, or other fasteners can be implanted in the gathered tissue to hold the tissue in the gathered state, thereby occluding the opening of the LAA or other cavity. In some embodiments, the opening of the LAA or other cavity can be occluded by elongating or otherwise reshaping the opening using an implant device, and securing the opening in the occluded state.

PAPILLARY MUSCLE APPROXIMATION AND VENTRICULAR RESTORATION
20220202571 · 2022-06-30 ·

The present invention provides ventricular restoration devices and snare devices as part of a papillary muscle approximation and ventricular restoration (PAP-VR) system and methods for using the same to repair mitral regurgitation (MR). The ventricular restoration devices include two collapsible anchors positioned at opposing ends of a collapsible stent, wherein the devices are threaded through a subject's anatomy such that the anchors rest outside of tissue and are held taut by the stent inbetween. The snare devices comprise an out-of-plane curved construction to navigate magnetized trapping lines around difficult to reach anatomy to lasso and tighten anatomical structures.

Hair grasping device

A hair grasping device having a handle with hollow fingers, a trigger slidably attached to the handle, a number of grips slidably attached within the hollow fingers connected to the trigger. Each of the grips has a first and a second arm, a central post, and an extended position and retracted position. When in the retracted position, the arms are forced against the central post by the hollow fingers, and when in the extended position, the arms are forced away from the central post, creating a clearance between the arms and the central post.

Spring suture for primary closure of surgical incisions
11350936 · 2022-06-07 · ·

A spring suture for primary closure of surgical incisions includes a center spring hingedly connected at each end with surgical tape. In one embodiment, the tape is connected to the center spring through a tape clamp and pin hinge. In another embodiment, the tape is connected to the center spring through welding flanges attached to membrane hinges. In operation, when the spring suture is in place on a wound or incision line, the distal ends of the surgical tape relative to the center spring, in conjunction with the center spring, are adapted to produce closure forces along the incision line that are remote from the incision, enabling such forces to act through the thickness of the skin through shear force transfer and provide closure force at the dermal level of the skin that is initially applied at the epidermal level, thus overcoming the problem of skin inversion at incision line common to skin tapes of the prior art.

Systems and methods for endoscopic submucosal dissection using magnetically attachable clips

An endoscopic surgical instrument deploys a hemostatic clip during endoscopic submucosal resection. The hemostatic clip has an elongated collar configured to be detachably coupled to a shaft of the surgical instrument, a pair of jaws received in the collar, and a magnet coupled to the jaws.

APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR WOUND CLOSURE
20220167987 · 2022-06-02 ·

This disclosure describes devices, systems, and methods related to a wound closure device. An example of a wound closure device includes a plurality of base members configured to adhere to a tissue site and one or more attachment members for use in combination to create mechanical tension on the edges of a wound to facilitate closure of the wound. The plurality of base members include a first base member that includes light switchable adhesive. The light switchable adhesive is configured to transition from a first state to a second state, and the light switchable adhesive has a first peel strength in the first state that is greater than a second peel strength of the light switchable in the second state. The one or more attachment members are configured to couple to two or more base members of the plurality of base members.

SURGICAL AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT FOR SUTURELESS CLOSED SKIN INCISION IN DEEP FASCIA LIMBS
