SKIN WOUND CLOSING APPARATUS
The invention provided with a skin wound closing apparatus which belongs to medical equipment. The skin wound closing apparatus provided in this invention includes: a pair of adhesive sheets, at least a pair of threading components, at least a pull string, at least a pull component and pull string locking component. The skin wound closing apparatus provided in this invention includes a pair of adhesive sheets which are stick to the skin of the two sides of the wound, at least a pair of threading components positioned on the adhesive sheet and pull string which is set to thread between the threading cubes therefore the operator can close the wound simply by pulling the pull string, so it has the advantages of convenient operation and quick use. The skin wound closing apparatus also includes the pull components, so it can indicate the specific part of the pull string that the user needs to pull when closing the wound, which is convenient to use, thereby obtaining the best wound closure effect. The skin wound closing apparatus also includes a pull string locking component, so it can lock the part of the pull string pulled out by the pull component, so that the wound can be closed firmly.
ELASTIC AND FLEXIBLE WOUND CLOSURE DEVICE
A wound closure device includes an elastic substrate and one or more microstructure arrays coupled to the elastic substrate via an adhesive layer. The device is long enough or wide enough to treat large wounds.
Medical Device for Applying Force on Biological Tissue, or the Like
A medical device for at least partially covering and applying force on tissue includes a body having a spanning structure and struts respectively connected to lateral portions of the spanning structure. Inner ends of the struts extend into an area over which the medial portion of the spanning structure extends. The medical device is reconfigurable between extended and retracted configurations. The inner ends of the struts are closer to one another in the retracted configuration than in the extended configuration. The inner ends of the struts are closer to the medial portion of the spanning structure in the retracted configuration than in the extended configuration. Each strut includes an engagement zone configured to engage and apply force on the tissue, at least while the medical device is in the retracted configuration. A web can be connected to the struts and span between the inner ends of the struts.
Tissue compression device with fixation and tension straps
Tissue compression devices with a combination of fixation and tension straps and methods of using the same are described herein. The tissue compression devices include a combination of fixation and tension straps that are used together to fix or attach the tissue compression device over selected tissue at a selected location on a patient and to apply pressure to the selected tissue. In one or more embodiments, the fixation straps are sued to fix or attach the tissue compression device and the tension straps are used to provide tension that is converted to pressure on the selected tissue.
Means to prevent wound dressings from adhering to closure device
A wound dressing for use with a closure device is disclosed. The first and second base panels of the closure device are positioned on opposite lateral sides of a wound or incision. The base panels are coupled together to maintain wound or incision closure. A release liner is removed from a bottom surface of the wound dressing. The wound dressing is positioned over the closure device and the wound or incision. Exudate is absorbed by an absorbent material of the wound dressing through a porous strip of the wound dressing. The wound dressing is slightly larger than the closure device so that its perimeter area is adhered to the skin area around the closure device. Alternatively or in combination, the wound dressing is lightly adhered to the closure device and wound or incision area so that it can be removed without harming the underlying device and tissues.
Closure Apparatuses and Methods for Ulcers and Irregular Skin Defects
Devices, methods, and systems for treating an ulcer or skin defect are disclosed. First and second base panels of a closure device are adhered to first and second sides of the ulcer or skin defect, respectively. Lateral ties couple the first and second base panels together and provide a predetermined separation distance or lateral gap between the inner edges of the panel. The predetermined separation distance or lateral gap is sufficient to treat the most common sized ulcers or skin defects, for example, accommodating an ulcer or skin defect with a minor axis of at most 50 mm. The lateral ties have their ends fixed to one panel and their opposite ends adjustably and reversibly attached to the other panel so that the separation distance can be reduced or adjusted to provide a lateral compressive force to the ulcer or skin defect, thereby promoting healing.
WOUND CLOSURE DEVICE
A device and method for closing a wound is provided. The device includes an anchoring pad having a bottom surface and an opposing top surface, such that the bottom surface is configured to adhere to a first side of the wound; a complementary pad having a bottom surface and an opposing top surface, such that the bottom surface is configured to adhere to a second side of the wound; and a pull tab having a bottom surface and an opposing top surface, such that the top surface is configured to adhere to the complementary pad and/or the second side of the wound, and the pull tab is coupled to the complementary pad by at least one connecting strap that is slidably connected to the anchoring pad.
SKIN TREATMENT DEVICES
Devices, kits and methods described herein may be for wound healing, including the treatment, amelioration, or prevention of scars and/or keloids by applying and/or maintaining a pre-determined strain in an elastic skin treatment device that is then affixed to the skin surface using skin adhesives to transfer a generally planar force from the bandage to the skin surface. Applicators are used to apply and/or maintain the strains, and some of the applicators are further configured to provide at least some mechanical advantage to the user when exerting loads onto the skin treatment device.
INSTRUMENTED WOUND CLOSURE DEVICE
A wound or incision closure apparatus comprises a first and second panel. Each of the panels comprises a bottom adhesive layer, a medial substrate layer, and an upper load distribution layer which connect the two panels. A sensory or therapeutic element is disposed adjacent, within, or between two or more of the layers. The sensory or therapeutic element can provide sensing and/or therapy for the incision and/or monitor the incision so that the therapy can be customized and updated.
