HIGH TEMPERATURE CO2 STEAM AND H2 REACTIONS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS.
Presented are processes for the beneficial conversion of CO.sub.2 and other environmentally destructive compounds to their constituent parts by the application of thermal plasma containing activated species whereby the interaction of the plasma with the compounds and reactions of CO.sub.2 and H.sub.2 generate more environmentally friendly compounds comprising in part oxygen and hydrogen. The thermal plasma may be vibro-shear plasma generated by the superheating of either steam, gas or a combination of both.

Catalytic Decomposition of Hydrocarbons for the Production of Hydrogen and Carbon
A new process for the decomposition of hydrocarbon feed stream(s) that achieves the conversion of a hydrocarbon feed stream to hydrogen and filamentous carbon, with minimal resulting production of carbon oxides is described herein. In this invention it is proposed to achieve the hydrocarbon conversion by the use of dual fluidized bed reaction zones, fluidly connected, for (i). hydrocarbon reaction (the reactor) and (ii). catalyst regeneration and heating (the regenerator) and to use a transition metal supported catalyst to achieve high hydrocarbon conversion and to produce high quality filamentous carbon.
MICROWAVE ACTIVE METAL OXIDES FOR CO2 DRY REFORMING OF METHANE

The method includes supplying a composition La.sub.xSr.sub.yCo.sub.zM.sub.wO.sub.3, where x ranges from 0.5 to 1, y ranges 0.0 to 1-x, z ranges from 0.1 to 1.0, and M is a dopant or dopants where w ranges from 0.0 to 1-z; and energizing the composition directly using electromagnetic energy to heat the composition to a temperature above 700° C. The method further includes contacting the composition with a reactant gas mixture comprising methane and an oxidant forming a product gaseous mixture.
Thermally Stable Monolith Catalysts for Methane Reforming and Preparing Method of the Same
The present invention relates to a monolith catalyst for carbon-dioxide/methane reforming and a method of manufacturing the same, and more particularly to a novel monolith catalyst for a reforming reaction having improved thermal durability, configured such that a sintering inhibiting layer is formed by coating the surface of a monolith support with at least one element selected from the group consisting of Group 2, 3, 6, 13, 15 and 16 elements among elements in Period 3 or higher and an active catalyst layer is formed on the sintering inhibiting layer, thereby preventing carbon deposition and catalyst deactivation due to deterioration even upon reaction at high temperatures.
Process for Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis
The present disclosure relates generally to processes for the Fischer-Tropsch production of hydrocarbons from methane. In particular, the disclosure provides for a process for the production of hydrocarbons and/or oxygenates, the process comprising: reforming a reforming feed comprising methane with water and/or oxygen to produce a reforming product stream comprising carbon monoxide and hydrogen; and contacting a hydrocarbon synthesis mixture comprising hydrogen and carbon monoxide with a Fischer-Tropsch hydrocarbon synthesis catalyst, wherein the hydrocarbon synthesis mixture comprises at least a portion of the reforming product stream to produce a hydrocarbon product stream with a selectivity for C.sub.5+ hydrocarbons of at least 50%, and/or a selectivity for oxygenates of at least 20%.
Syngas generation for gas-to-liquid fuel conversion
A syngas generator is disclosed as an exothermic gas generator that can accommodate high combustion temperatures of a natural gas/oxygen flame. The generator consists of four sections: a heavily insulated combustion chamber, a catalyst chamber, a spray chamber, and a heat exchanger. These four sections may be arranged in series and tightly bolted together to form a gas-tight system. Natural gas, oxygen and steam are supplied to a burner at the inlet end of the combustion chamber. This mixture is ignited and the resulting hot process gas is then fed into a catalyst bed where it reacts with the steam and is converted to carbon monoxide and hydrogen (syngas). The syngas is fed to a Fischer-Tropsch unit to create liquid fuel.
