The system (100) includes a reverse osmosis stage (140) fluidly connected to the KDF stage (120). The system (100) also includes an outlet (150) fluidly connected to the reverse osmosis stage (140) and configured to output a flow of purified water (155). The reverse osmosis stage (140) is downstream of the KDF stage (120). A method of purifying water is also provided.
INSTALLATION FOR OBTAINING PHOSPHATE SALTS AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THIS INSTALLATION
The invention provides an installation (10) for separating phosphate from phosphate-containing liquids and obtaining phosphate salts, having one or more reactors (12) which each have two electrodes of opposing polarity and which, between them, span a reaction area, wherein each reactor (12) has an inlet (14) and an outlet (16), in which the outlet (16) is separated into a recirculation (22) and a discharge stream (24) and the recirculation (22) supplies part of the liquid from the outlet (16) of the reactor (12) to the inlet of the same reactor or a different reactor (12); and to a method for this and to a biological wastewater treatment plant and to a method for operating the latter.
Galvanic water processing apparatus
A water well immersion device intended for the treatment of water within wells based galvanic current generation. The unit maintains the continuous generation of galvanic electricity as the components age through adjustable mechanical features that ensure the continuous optimal connectivity between the galvanic electricity generating components.
Apparatus for removal of ions comprising multiple stacks
An apparatus to remove ions from water. The apparatus may include a stack having a first electrode including a first current collector, a spacer on top of the first electrode, and a second electrode on top of the spacer. The stack may have a tray to hold and position the stack within a housing of the apparatus and thus may improve the manufacturability of the apparatus.
WATER TREATMENT UNIT
The present invention relates to a water treatment unit for improving the quality of water in a water system and a water treatment system comprising the water treatment unit. The water treatment unit comprises a housing comprising a container, a magnet, a sacrificial anode, and a filter element. The container has an inlet and an outlet configured to allow a flow of water into and out of the container. The magnet is configured to attract ferrous particles and retain the ferrous particles to remove the ferrous particles from the flow of water. The sacrificial anode is configured to provide cathodic protection and scavenge oxygen from the flow of water. The filter element is configured to remove detritus from the flow of water. The magnet, sacrificial anode, and filter element are located within the container.
PHOTOSENSITIVE PARTICLE AND ITS PRODUCTION, OXYGEN-GENERATING UNIT AND USES OF SAME
A photosensitive particle (25) having a carrier element (27) to which a material (29) is adhered by an adhesive (28), the material (29) containing light-active dye molecules (30). A plurality of such photosensitive particles (25) can be arranged in a photo-electric cell (22) of an oxygen-generating unit (21).
APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR CONVERTING AMMONIA FROM AN AMMONIA-CONTAINING AQUEOUS SOLUTION TO MOLECULAR NITROGEN
An apparatus (1) and a process for converting ammonia from an ammonia-containing aqueous solution (2) into molecular nitrogen. The apparatus (1) is constructed so that the solution (2) can circulate in a circuit (3) and in this case can be guided repeatedly through the apparatus (1).
STRUVITE PRECIPITATION AND MICROBIAL FUEL CELL FOR RECOVERY OF NUTRIENTS AND ENERGY FROM DIGESTER EFFLUENT
Provided are wastewater treatment processes that involves struvite precipitation and a microbial fuel cell for the recovery of nutrients and energy from a digester effluent.
Electro-anti deposit device for removing mineral deposits in drip irrigation systems
An electro-anti deposit device is coupled to an irrigation pipe for removing mineral deposit from drippers of the pipe. The electro-anti deposit device includes an engine configured to move the electro-anti deposit device along the pipe. The electro-anti deposit device also includes a mineral deposit removal module. The mineral deposit removal module includes a water container, a battery, and two electrodes. The water container may be configured to create an ionic environment at a dripper. The dripper may be covered with the mineral deposit. The battery may be configured to generate electric current. The two electrodes may be connected to two poles of the battery with a space separating tips of the two electrodes.
REMOVAL OF FLUOROALKYL COMPOUNDS FROM WATER USING GALVANIC CELL
A method of treating contaminated water includes contacting the contaminated water including a fluoroalkyl compound with a galvanic cell to form galvanic cell-treated water including a galvanic cell-treated fluoroalkyl compound. The method also includes separating the galvanic cell-treated fluoroalkyl compound from the galvanic cell-treated water to form product water having a lower concentration of the fluoroalkyl compound than the contaminated water and to form an aqueous concentrate having a higher concentration of the galvanic cell-treated fluoroalkyl compound than the product water.
