ORTHOPAEDIC REAMER CONNECTOR
An orthopaedic reamer connector includes a holder section shaped to allow for connection of an orthopaedic reamer, the holder section including a connection surface and two pairs of holders associated with the connection surface, each of the two pairs of holders having a first holder and a second holder that forms an acute angle relative to the first holder, the first holders being opposed to each other by about 180 degrees and the second holders being opposed to each other by about 180 degrees; and a stop section mechanically interlocked with the holder section so as to prevent relative rotation therebetween and including a pair of stops associated with each of the two pairs of holders, each of the pair of stops having a first stop associated with the first holder and a second stop associated with the second holder.
Removable handle provided with a device for detachable assembly
The present invention relates to a removable handle (1) for a surgical rasp (2) or similar, the handle (1) and the rasp (2) cooperating, at right angles to their joining ends, via contact faces which at least intersect the mean direction of transmission of the forces between the handle (1) and the rasp (2), said handle (1) having a detachable assembly device (5) and being characterized in that the detachable assembly device (5) has, on the one hand, a means of assembly (6) by engagement in a direction generally perpendicular to said contact faces and using at least two complementary elements, namely a hollow tenon (7) and a mortice (8), and, on the other hand, a locking means (9) for locking said complementary elements (7, 8) in their engaged position, that is to say when the removable handle (1) and the rasp (2) are joined together, with their contact faces applied against each other.
Surgical tools for spinal facet therapy to alleviate pain and related methods
Methods and surgical tools for treating back pain use a spinal facet debridement tool with cautery and denuding action and minimally invasive protocol that can denude and cauterize soft tissue associated with a synovial capsule of the spinal facet joint.
Device for severing and removing tissue parts
A device for severing and removing tissue parts (20), from a body of a living being, by means of a fixed guide rail (1, 30) along which a slide rail (6, 31) is movable, wherein the guide rail (1, 30) and the slide rail (6, 31) form, in the distal region, a cutting or punching mouth (17, 32) for severing the tissue part (20), wherein a conduit (18) for supplying a liquid is assigned to the cutting or punching mouth (17).
JOINT REVISION SURGERY APPARATUS
The present application is directed a Joint Revision Surgery Apparatus which includes a surgical knife blade guide block which has a plurality of rearward blade guide slots, a central cavity and a plurality of guide slots having a two-way adjustable L-shaped guide plate. The surgical knife blade guide block central cavity houses a stem trunnion securing member and is positioned over the trunnion end of the existing prosthesis to be removed and secured to the prothesis. The guide blade block is secured to the trunnion of the prosthesis to be extracted using a stem trunnion securing member housed within the guide block. Straight, curved and compound curved knife blades are guided by the blade guide slots to cut the prothesis free. The Joint Revision Surgery Apparatus facilitates rapid, efficient and complete removal of an existing prosthesis during joint revision surgery, and significantly increases positive medical outcomes for joint revision procedures.
Bone structure coupling systems and methods of use
Bone structure coupling devices and methods are provided herein. An example method includes positioning a tubular retraction guide body into a patient, the tubular retraction guide body having two prongs that are positioned in a joint between two adjacent bone structures, creating a hemispherical groove on each of the two adjacent bone structures using a drill bit passed through the tubular retraction guide body, incising out the hemispherical grooves with a broach passed through the tubular retraction guide body, and inserting a graft body having a generally rectangular cross sectional area into the angular grooves to couple the two adjacent bone structures together.
Surgical instruments including a set of cutting blades for performing an osteotomy
Surgical instruments for performing wedge-shaped osteotomies are disclosed herein. One surgical instrument includes a body with a distal end, a proximal end, a bottom surface, and a top surface including a slope extending upward and along a single plane from the distal end to the proximal end. The surgical instrument further includes multiple columns of cutting blades positioned on the top surface in which each of the cutting blades are spaced apart and extend vertically along at least a portion of the slope from the distal end to the proximal end. Another surgical instrument includes the cutting blades positioned in multiple rows of cutting blades on the top surface such that the multiple rows of cutting blades extend along the slope from the distal end to the proximal end and each cutting blade in the plurality of cutting blades extends horizontally across the top surface.
Surgical instruments including a set of cutting blades for performing an osteotomy
Surgical instruments for performing wedge-shaped osteotomies are disclosed herein. One surgical instrument includes a body including a distal end, a proximal end, and a top surface. The top surface includes a slope extending upward and along a single plane from the distal end to the proximal end. Multiple columns of cutting blades positioned on the top surface and each of the cutting blades includes a respective uniform height that extends vertically along at least a portion of the slope. Another surgical instrument includes a top surface including a flat plane. Multiple columns of cutting blades are positioned on the top surface and the columns of cutting blades are spaced apart and positioned on at least a portion of the top surface. Each cutting blade extends horizontally along the top surface and includes an increasing slope extending upward and along a single plane from the distal end to the proximal end.
Vertebral body shaver assembly
A vertebral body shaver assembly may include a shaver inserter and a shaver instrument. The shaver inserter may be used to insert the shaver instrument into an intradiscal space between vertebral body endplates in a non-expanded condition with a footprint area A1. The shaver instrument may then be adjusted into a to an expanded condition with a footprint area A2that is greater than footprint area A1. As the shaver instrument is adjusted into the expanded condition, at least one blade may shave osteochondral material off at least one of the first vertebral body endplates.
Locally invasive surgical apparatus with manipulator for bone fracture treatment
The present invention provides a locally invasive surgical apparatus including a manipulator for scratching the bone at a fracture site, a drive arm on which the manipulator is mounted, and a controller for controlling the manipulator and the drive arm. Therefore, it is possible to carry out minimally invasive surgery during bone fracture surgery, thereby enabling simple and quick bone fracture surgery for a speedy recovery.
