A plate-like chemically strengthened glass having a compression stress layer on the surface of the glass, wherein the compressive stress value (CS.sub.0) at the glass surface of is 500 MPa or more, the plate thickness (t) is 400 .Math.m or more, the compressive stress depth of layer (DOL) is (t × 0.15) .Math.m or more, the compressive stress values (CS.sub.1) and (CS.sub.2) when the depth from the glass surface is ¼ and ½, respectively, are 50 MPa or more, m.sub.1 expressed by {m.sub.1 = (CS.sub.1 - CS.sub.2/(DOL/4 - DOL/2)} is -1.5 MPa/.Math.m or more, m.sub.2 expressed by {m.sub.2 = (CS.sub.2/(DOL/2 - DOL)} is 0 MPa/.Math.m or less, and m.sub.2 is less than m.sub.1.
GLASS-BASED ARTICLES WITH IMPROVED FRACTURE RESISTANCE
Glass-based articles are provided that exhibit improved fracture resistance. The relationships between properties attributable to the glass composition and stress profile of the glass-based articles are provided that indicate improved fracture resistance.
ANTIMICROBIAL GLASS COMPOSITIONS, GLASSES AND POLYMERIC ARTICLES INCORPORATING THE SAME
Architectural structures including an inorganic material carrier including cement and particles or fibers of a glass including a plurality of Cu.sup.1+ ions. In aspects, the glass may have a glass phase and a cuprite phase. In aspects, the glasses may include a plurality of Cu.sup.1+ ions, a degradable phase including B.sub.2O.sub.3, P.sub.2O.sub.5 and K.sub.2O and a durable phase including SiO.sub.2. In other aspects, the glass can have a plurality of Cu.sup.1+ ions disposed on the surface of the glass and in the glass network and/or the glass matrix. The glasses and articles disclosed herein can exhibit a 2 log reduction or greater in a concentration of at least one of Staphylococcus aureus, Enterobacter aerogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria, Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and E. coli, under the EPA Test Method for Efficacy of Copper Alloy as a Sanitizer testing condition and under Modified JIS Z 2801 for Bacteria testing conditions.

GLASS COMPOSITION, GLASS FILLER, MANUFACTURING METHOD OF GLASS FILLER, AND RESIN COMPOSITION INCLUDING GLASS FILLER
A provided glass composition includes, in mass %: 50≤SiO.sub.2≤65; 20≤B.sub.2O.sub.3≤30; and 5≤Al.sub.2O.sub.3≤20, and further includes: at least one selected from the group consisting of MgO and CaO; and at least one selected from the group consisting of Li.sub.2O, Na.sub.2O, and K.sub.2O. In the glass composition, 0.1≤(MgO+CaO)<5, 0≤(Li.sub.2O+Na.sub.2O+K.sub.2O)≤4, and 0.50<MgO/(MgO+CaO)≤1.00 are satisfied. The glass composition is suitable for manufacturing a glass filler that has a low permittivity and that can exhibit an excellent water resistance.
GLASS COMPOSITION, GLASS FILLER, MANUFACTURING METHOD OF GLASS FILLER, AND RESIN COMPOSITION INCLUDING GLASS FILLER
A provided glass composition includes, in mass %: 50≤SiO.sub.2≤65; 20≤B.sub.2O.sub.3≤30; and 5≤Al.sub.2O.sub.3≤20, and further includes: at least one selected from the group consisting of MgO and CaO; and at least one selected from the group consisting of Li.sub.2O, Na.sub.2O, and K.sub.2O. In the glass composition, 0.1≤(MgO+CaO)<5, 0≤(Li.sub.2O+Na.sub.2O+K.sub.2O)≤4, and 0.50<MgO/(MgO+CaO)≤1.00 are satisfied. The glass composition is suitable for manufacturing a glass filler that has a low permittivity and that can exhibit an excellent water resistance.
Glass composition for glass fiber, glass fiber, and glass fiber-reinforced resin composition using same
Provided is a glass composition for glass fiber having a low dielectric constant and a low dielectric loss tangent, suppressing occurrence of phase separation, and reducing viscosity at high temperatures. The glass composition for glass fiber includes: SiO.sub.2 in the range of 52.0 to 59.5% by mass; B.sub.2O.sub.3 in the range of 17.5 to 25.5% by mass; Al.sub.2O.sub.3 in the range of 9.0 to 14.0% by mass; SrO in the range of 0.5 to 6.0% by mass; MgO in the range of 1.0 to 5.0% by mass; and CaO in the range of 1.0 to 5.0% by mass, and includes F.sub.2 and Cl.sub.2 in the range of 0.1 to 2.5% by mass in total, with respect to the total amount.
Vehicle glass with increased resilience to environmental influences
A vehicle glass sheet is provided that includes a borosilicate glass with a thickness between 1.1 mm and 5.4 mm and a two-dimensional area for a sensor assigned to this two-dimensional area. The two-dimensional area has an inclination (α) with respect to an upward direction (S) perpendicular to a main direction of movement (V) of the vehicle that is in a range between 35° and 65°.
Vehicle glass with increased resilience to environmental influences
A vehicle glass sheet is provided that includes a borosilicate glass with a thickness between 1.1 mm and 5.4 mm and a two-dimensional area for a sensor assigned to this two-dimensional area. The two-dimensional area has an inclination (α) with respect to an upward direction (S) perpendicular to a main direction of movement (V) of the vehicle that is in a range between 35° and 65°.

A substrate for a display article is described herein including (a) a primary surface; and (b) a textured region disposed at the primary surface, the textured region comprising: (i) one or more higher surfaces residing at a higher mean elevation parallel to a base-plane disposed below the textured region extending through the substrate; (ii) one or more lower surfaces residing at a lower mean elevation parallel to the base-plane; and (iii) surface features providing at a least a portion of either or both of (i) the one or more higher surfaces and (ii) the one or more lower surfaces. The surface features can include larger surface features and smaller surface features, either or both providing one or more surfaces of the substrate that reside at one or more intermediate mean elevations parallel to the base-plane between the higher mean elevation and the lower mean elevation.
