FUNCTIONAL COATED ARTICLE
A process to produce a scratch resistant coated article includes providing a flat glass substrate having a surface to be coated, and depositing a multilayered coating on the surface in corresponding sequence coming from the surface, a functional layer stack including at least one metallic silver inclusive layer sandwiched between two dielectric layers, a transition metal (TM) inclusive layer including carbon in a molar amount, which at least in a region of an outer surface of the TM inclusive layer equals at least the molar metal amount of TM metals, and a hydrogen containing layer in direct contact to the outer surface of the TM inclusive layer as an outermost layer of the coating.
Map creation and localization for autonomous driving applications
An end-to-end system for data generation, map creation using the generated data, and localization to the created map is disclosed. Mapstreams—or streams of sensor data, perception outputs from deep neural networks (DNNs), and/or relative trajectory data—corresponding to any number of drives by any number of vehicles may be generated and uploaded to the cloud. The mapstreams may be used to generate map data—and ultimately a fused high definition (HD) map—that represents data generated over a plurality of drives. When localizing to the fused HD map, individual localization results may be generated based on comparisons of real-time data from a sensor modality to map data corresponding to the same sensor modality. This process may be repeated for any number of sensor modalities and the results may be fused together to determine a final fused localization result.
Sapphire coated substrate with a flexible, anti-scratch and multi-layer coating
A method for forming a substrate with a multi-layered, flexible, and anti-scratch metal oxides protective coating being deposited onto the substrate is provided in the present invention, wherein the top most layer of the coating comprises Al.sub.2O.sub.3 or a mixture thereof such that the top most layer acts as an anti-scratching layer. The multi-layered, flexible and anti-scratch metal oxides protective coating also retains the flexibility of the underlying substrate.
HIGH STRENGTH GLAZING
A glazing of high strength for a transparent marine window, architectural glazing or vehicle window in ground or air transportation includes at least an outer high strength glass ply and an inner high strength glass ply in a laminate, and a layered functional block arranged and integrated between the outer and inner high strength glass plies in the laminate. The layered functional block or a layered solar protection can include at least one annealed glass pane.

At least one of the metal functional layers (46, 58, 70) includes a metal functional multi-film layer including (i) at least one infrared reflective film and (ii) at least one absorptive film.
Solar Control Coatings Providing Increased Absorption or Tint
A method of tinting or coloring glass. The following layers are deposited onto the glass: a first dielectric layer, a subcritical metallic layer; a primer layer; and a second dielectric layer. Alternatively, these layers may be deposited onto the glass: a first dielectric layer, a subcritical metallic layer; and a second dielectric layer. Alternatively, the invention is a coated article that includes a substrate, a first dielectric layer, an absorbing layer, and a second dielectric layer over the primer layer. The absorbing layer can be Inconel, titanium nitride, cobalt chrome (stellite), or nickel chrome material, and has a thickness in the range of 50 Å to 150 Å.
