System for containment and organization of medical wire

A system for containment and organization of a medical wire features a clamp. A first ridged and grooved clamping block is located on a clamp first side posterior end and a second ridged and grooved clamping block is located on a clamp second side posterior end. A first side compression member is located on an inside surface of a clamp first side and a second side compression member is located on an inside surface of the clamp second side. An adjustable ratcheting lock attaches the clamp first side and the clamp second side. A first finger grip is located on an outside surface of the clamp first side and a second finger grip is located on an outside surface of the clamp second side. A Medical wire is placed between the first side compression member and the second side compression member then the clamp is compressed against the medical wire.

GRAFT PLACEMENT SYSTEM

Embodiments of the invention include a system for coupling a graft to a bone. A graft preparation tool may be used to place one or more holes in a graft and an offset measurement tool may be used to determine the distance of the one or more holes from an edge of the graft to be aligned with a portion of the bone. One or more complementary holes may then be created in the bone and fasteners applied through the holes to couple the graft to the bone.

SURGICAL CLAMP AND CLAMP JAW

A surgical clamp jaw is disclosed, having an inner profile and a deflection control profile opposite the inner profile. In one embodiment, the inner profile has a first substantially concave profile in an unclamped position and a second substantially flat profile in a clamped position. In one embodiment, the deflection control profile has one or more sets of corresponding abutment surfaces, at least one set of which is not contacting each other when the inner profile is in the unclamped position and which is contacting each other when the inner profile is in the clamped position. In one embodiment, the surgical clamp jaw defines one or more flexion assistance voids, wherein at least one of the one or more flexion assistance voids is in contact with a gap between one of the one or more sets of corresponding abutment surfaces.

BONE NEEDLE CLAMPS AND CANNULATED NEEDLE PINS FOR USE AS SKELETAL INFUSION NEEDLES AND METHODS THEREIN
20190046235 · 2019-02-14 ·

The present invention discloses bone needle clamps and cannulated needle pins for use as skeletal infusion needles and methods therein. Bone needle clamps for facilitating intraosseous (IO) fluid transfer include: a clamp assembly having: at least one pair of opposing tips, facing each other, with each of the tips having a sharp end; and a bore in each tip, wherein the bore has a connection-facing opening and a bone-facing opening at opposing ends of the bore, and wherein the bone-facing opening is disposed in the tip at least one millimeter from the sharp end of each tip; and a needle assembly having: a cannula integrally attached to the connection-facing opening of the bore of the clamp assembly; and a connector operable to releasably attach a fluid-transfer assembly; wherein the needle assembly is operable to facilitate 10 infusion to the subject's bone and/or bone-marrow (BM) aspiration from the subject's bone.

METHODS OF TREATING AND PREVENTING DISEASE BY CLAMPING OF SKIN
20190038498 · 2019-02-07 ·

The invention provides methods of treating diseases, such as various cancers, neoplasms, autoimmune diseases, and infectious diseases, among others, by clamping the skin of a subject in need of treatment so as to apply a compressive force that is sufficient to cause damage, often manifested in pain or bruising, to the underlying tissue. The invention additionally provides kits containing clamps capable of regulating the distance between the arms of the clamp such that a user of the clamp will apply a safe amount of pressure to the skin of a subject that is sufficient to cause tissue bruising and/or pain.

A gear arrangement including two drive units (210, 220, 310, 320, 410), and two translatory transmission elements (151, 152, 251, 252, 351, 352), to each of which a rotationally movable function unit (141, 142) of a distally arranged two-part end effector (140) can be coupled. The first drive unit (210, 310, 410) has at least one proximally arranged rotation element (311, 411) or a thrust element (210) for opening or closing the end effector (140) by rotation of at least one function unit (141, 142). The second drive unit (220, 320), with which the translatory transmission elements (151, 152, 251, 252, 351, 352) are movable in opposite directions, has at least one proximally arranged rotation element (224, 320, 421) for simultaneous and unidirectional pivoting of the function units (141, 142) of the end effector (140). A surgical instrument includes the gear arrangement (200, 300, 400) in the handle (180).
