20190216568 · 2019-07-18 ·

The present invention is a group of surgical instruments with improved function and design for dental and craniofacial surgery, especially subperiosteal tunneling and related procedures. The instruments include surgical elevators for vestibular incision or incisions in the gingival sulcus. The instruments have varying angles and shapes to create a mucosal tunnel in any oral or maxillofacial region. The instrument sweet also optionally includes specially designed forceps for introduction of graft material inside the subperiosteal tunnel and to assist with suturing of the graft to surrounding tissue.

LAPAROSCOPIC TISSUE MANIPULATION DEVICE

A laparoscopic tissue manipulator device includes a handle assembly, an elongate body, and a tool assembly. The tool assembly is supported on the distal portion of the elongate body and includes fingers. Each of the fingers includes a body having an elongate U-shaped configuration with a blunt distal end and an open interior and is secured to a distal portion of the elongate body about a first pivot member. The fingers are pivotable from a contracted position in which the fingers are aligned with each other and with the second longitudinal axis and an expanded position in which the fingers are splayed outwardly from the first pivot member at different angular positions in relation to the second longitudinal axis. A cover is supported on the each of the fingers to cover the open interior of the body of the fingers.

Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a three jaw clamp apparatus and system for occlusion and eversion of blood vessel and method thereof. The present disclosure provides an apparatus for occluding and opening a blood vessel. The apparatus is a three jaw design, for occluding and opening the blood vessel while preventing excessive stretching of adventitia or tearing of the blood vessel/adventitia. The three jaw clamps provide reliable clamps and can be cleaned easily and includes a first member, a second member, and a third member for occluding and opening the blood vessel that can be joined/assembled/welded fast. The system for occlusion, inversion and approximation of two ends of blood vessels while preventing excessive stretching of adventitia or tearing of the blood vessel/adventitia. The system of three jaw clamps can adjust the distance between the two ends to facilitate anastomosis.

GRASPING TOOL

A grasping tool (20) for removing a stent from the body of a patient. The grasping tool has a grasping head (38) forming two jaws connected to each other and configured to be shifted between an open state and a closed state. Each jaw includes three portions having different thicknesses. The grasping tool is configured to obtain sufficient holding force between the jaws while requiring reduced operating force of the tool. A method for removing a stent from a patient is also disclosed.
