APPARATUS FOR TREATING OBESITY
An apparatus for treating obesity in a human or animal mammal patient. The apparatus comprising a first volume filling device segment and a second volume filling device segment. The first and second volume filling device segments are adapted to be assembled into an implantable volume filling device of a controlled size. Each one of the first and second volume filling device segment comprises at least one interconnecting structure. The interconnecting structure of the second volume filling device segment is adapted to be formed fitted, such that the first and second volume filling device segment can be assembled into the volume filling device. The assembled volume filling device is adapted to be at least substantially invaginated by a stomach wall portion of a patient, with the outer surface of the device resting against the stomach wall, such that the volume of the food cavity is reduced in size.
MEDICAL PACKAGING
Medical packaging is provided for enclosing a single-use medical device with multiple frangible operating lines and corresponding frangible connections to define a removable first end which reveals at the time of use an operative part forming the key part that is to come into contact with the patient. The remaining part of the device including the controlling part is retained in the rest of the packaging but can be used to control the device without hindrance. Each of the multiple frangible operating lines indicating on the packaging the difference between the key part that forms the operating part of the device for one of a plurality of predefined medical procedures wherein the identification of the frangible operating lines immediately educates and instructs the user in the correct usage in a sterile and clean manner.
Cell isolation instrument
Provided is a cell isolation instrument capable of smoothly performing a plurality of steps associated with isolation of cells, including gripping of a biological tissue, transferring of the biological tissue, and isolating of the biological tissue. A container has an opening. A sealing member seals the opening. A pair of pinching parts is connected to the sealing member, and the pair of pinching parts opens or closes by being pressed.

ERGONOMIC GAUZE PAD HOLDER FOR POSTSURGICAL INTRAORAL USE
An ergonomic gauze pad holder, useful in holding an in site after an intraoral surgical procedure is disclosed. The use of the gauze pad holder foments and promotes a hygienic and safe clot formation in an intraoral extraction site after tooth extraction. The design of the holder in terms of its use includes an external section and an internal section that may be connected in different positions, relative to the position of the intraoral site wherein the gauze pad is intended to be used. The external section includes a handle and connecting section that allows the user to control the holder from the exterior of his mouth. The internal section, intended to be used inside the patient mouth, has two internal receiving channels wherein two extended inserting sections are inserted and secured creating an internal cavity wherein a gauze pad may be inserted secured, and assembled in different configurations. The particular configuration of the gauze pad depends on the particular position inside the intraoral site wherein the gauze pad is intended to be used. The external surface of the internal section is smooth, and it is designed ergonomically to be comfortably housed in the patient mouth. The whole design of the ergonomic gauze pad holder herein disclosed is directed to reduce the risks of complications after tooth extractions, reduce the healing time, and increase the safety of the patient during the post-surgical healing process.
Apparatus and method for treating GERD
An apparatus for the treatment of acid reflux disease comprising two or more movement restriction device segments adapted to be assembled movement restriction device of a controlled size. The assembled movement restriction device can at least partly be invaginated by a patient's stomach fundus wall. A substantial part of the outer surface of the movement restriction device is adapted to rest against the stomach wall without injuring the latter in a position between the patient's diaphragm and at least a portion of the lower part of the invaginated stomach fundus wall, such that movement of the cardiac notch of the patient's stomach towards the patient's diaphragm is restricted, to thereby prevent the cardia from sliding through the patient's diaphragm opening into the patient's thorax, so as to maintain the supporting pressure against the patient's cardia sphincter muscle exerted from the patient's abdomen.
CRYOSURGERY SYSTEM FOR SKIN LESION REMOVAL
Methods, devices, and systems for treatment and removal of skin lesions, such as skin tags, are disclosed herein. In at least one embodiment, a system for treating a skin lesion comprises: a tweezer comprising a treatment region; and an activation station, the activation station configured with a first receiving end and a second receiving end. In at least one embodiment, the activation station receives the tweezer at the first receiving end, and receives a cryogenic agent at the second receiving end. The first receiving end is fluidly coupled to the second receiving end to facilitate delivery of the cryogenic agent to the treatment region of the tweezer.
MEDICAL INSTRUMENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MEDICAL INSTRUMENT
A medical instrument and method for producing a medical instrument. The medical instrument includes at least one instrument arm. A toothing with at least two teeth is formed on a distal end of the instrument arm. Each of the teeth project transversely from the distal end and has two tooth flanks facing away from one another. Each tooth flank has at least one planar first surface region and at least one planar second surface region. The at least one planar first surface region and the at least one planar second surface region are inclined toward one another by a surface to region angle. The first and second surface regions are formed by milling, in particular with a CNC machine.
