Systems, apparatus, and methods for placing a guidewire for a gastrostomy tube
Devices, systems, and methods for guidewire placement for a gastrostomy tube are described herein. A system can include an elongated tube, an inflatable member, and a guidewire assembly. The elongated tube can have a first end, a second end, and can define a lumen. The inflatable member can be coupled to the first end of the elongated tube and can be fluidically coupled to the lumen such that the inflatable member can receive fluid via the lumen. The guidewire assembly can include a guidewire having a first end and a second end. The first end of the guidewire assembly can include a coupling member, the coupling member configured to couple to the inflatable member such that translation of the elongated tube translates the guidewire assembly.
Systems and methods for implant delivery
Some embodiments of the present disclosure are directed generally to systems and methods for delivering an implant to a body vessel of a patient. Such disclosed implants may be a monofilament implant, and disclosed systems for implanting the implant may be automatic. Some embodiments may enable retraction of said implant back into the delivery system following partial exteriorization of the implant from the delivery system. Some embodiments may be configured for retraction of said implant from the patient's body following complete exteriorization of the implant from the delivery system. Some of the embodiments are directed at delivering a monofilament implant for preventing embolic stroke. Other embodiments are directed at preventing pulmonary embolism, occluding a body vessel such as the left atrial appendage, occluding a body passageway such as a patent foramen ovalae, stenting a body vessel, or releasing a local therapeutic agent such as a drug or ionizing radiation.
Skin surface indwelling device for guiding punctures
A skin surface indwelling device for guiding punctures includes: an indwelling tube (13) having an inside tunnel (P) substantially extending along the longitudinal direction of the indwelling tube (13), the tunnel (P) is used for guiding needle (N), the indwelling tube (13) has a proximal end positioned above the skin surface (S) and a distal end positioned under the skin surface (S) in indwelling state; a support (11) having a bottom surface on its bottom that directly or indirectly contacts with the skin surface (S), the support (11) supports and fixates the indwelling tube (13); and a sealing elements (141,142) configured to seal the tunnel (P). The skin surface indwelling device for guiding punctures can shorten the time of establishing a puncture tunnel in the buttonhole puncture method, and help to build the puncture tunnel. In addition, the skin surface indwelling device can also guide the puncture needle (N) when puncturing, and protect the immature puncture tunnel.
Orbital trocar hole carving device with detachable handle and associated methods
The present disclosure provides methods for forming or enlarging holes in objects. Objects may include bone tissue and methods for fixing matched medical plates to bodies. The movable trocar with toroidal interface is adjustable relative to the surface. The present disclosure also provides for products produced by the methods of the present disclosure and for apparatuses used to perform the methods of the present disclosure.
POSITIONING SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR POSITIONING A MEDICAL DEVICE
One or more example embodiments relate to a positioning support system for positioning a medical device based on at least one medical image, the positioning support system comprising at least one channel for the medical device and configured to be pierced with the medical device, the channel configured to be at an acute first angle to a normal of a surface, the channel including a water-containing medium including at least one polymerizable component, the water-containing medium being configured to cure after being pierced with the medical device when the medical device is coated with a polymerization catalyst, wherein the positioning support system is configured to be placed on the surface, and the positioning support system permits the medical device in the water-containing medium to be depicted in the at least one medical image.
SYSTEMS AND METHOD FOR SINGLE-OPERATOR NEURAXIAL MEDICAL DEVICE PROCEDURES USING REAL-TIME ULTRASOUND GUIDANCE
Aspects of the present disclosure describe medical device placement, including devices, systems and methods for placing catheters, such as epidural catheters, or other medical devices, such as needles, using a guide on a sterile ultrasound sheath.
Trocar assembly with bearing assembly for load sharing
A trocar assembly for releasable engagement with an adapter assembly of a surgical stapling instrument includes a bearing assembly for distributing the axial load experienced by a drive member during tissue stapling. The bearing assembly is disposed within a housing between a flange of the housing and a flange of a drive member. The bearing assembly is configured to rotatably support the drive member and includes a thrust bearing, a rigid member, and a compressible member disposed between the thrust bearing and the rigid member. The compressible member includes a first compressed condition having a first thickness during a clamping stroke of the surgical stapling instrument and a second compressed condition having a second thickness during a stapling stroke of the surgical stapling instrument. The second thickness is less than the first thickness.
ULTRASOUND IMAGING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USE WITH AN ADJUSTABLE NEEDLE GUIDE
Various methods and ultrasound imaging systems are provided for automatically calculating and displaying a setting for an adjustable needle guide. An exemplary method includes acquiring an image including a target with an ultrasound probe and displaying the image on a display device. The method includes receiving an input, via a user interface, identifying the target in the image. The method includes automatically calculating, with a processor, the setting for an adjustable needle guide that is configured to be attached to the ultrasound probe based on the identified target in the image, wherein the setting is at least one of an angle measurement for the adjustable needle guide or one of a plurality of angular positions for the adjustable needle guide. The method includes displaying the setting for the adjustable needle guide on the display device.
